  1. I think this would be the better message to our star players than scratching them would be. If the coaching staff shows that they reward good play with more ice time and chances then maybe players will actually want to earn it, instead of repeatedly sending the Sedins and Kesler out regardless of their play.
  2. Hopefully an emotional game against the hated Blackhawks can spark this team and get them back to putting their best effort forward and being competitive again. I expect a statement game from Luongo, who has really shown up recently when facing the hawks. I predict a 2-1 Canucks win in OT. Schroeder with a goal and an assist and Burrows slays his personal dragon with the OT goal. Luongo stands on his head to put us in that position.
  3. To be fair Kesler is also struggling at the same time.
  4. This might just be me...but there is no way that Ladd is even worth Horvat. I wouldn't do that trade one for one and I certainly wouldnt add on our side.
  5. I think he may be talking about Santorelli being the second? I certainly hope it isn't Kesler :s
  6. On the upside at least CDC is entertaining.

  8. Kassian was the animal I was expecting him to be immediately!
  9. I am of the opinion that Gillis is having an amazing year at the helm. Not only has he added a tremendous amount of skill to our prospect pool, but also has brought in a lot of players that are contributing at the NHL level for dirt cheap. We are competing in a very hard devision while being severly injured. I am impressed to say the least. I think Gillis is also in the right by waiting until the team is fully healthy (or at least healthier) until he decides which players, if any he wants to trade for. When back to health he'll be able to decide which players he is willing to give up (I would assume a defenseman and or a depth forward like Hansen) and for what need a player is most required. I also think that this recent string of injuries will help Gillis see future replacements for the holes left by trading a player. We will still be competing for a playoff spot come the trade deadline so why not wait to make a move until then when teams are actually willing to make moves?
  10. I got some money for christmas and have been saving up for a while to get one, but they are sold out everywhere in my area! The wait is agonizing!
  11. The Canucks are 10-3-2 in their last 15 while missing Burrows, Edler, Luongo, Stanton, and Schroeder all for significant amounts of time. I don't think the Canucks are getting enough credit.

^Then why bother watch hockey if only one team is worthy of credit at the end of the season?
