Portsmouth are in league one remember. Anyway, they are in more trouble with money again even with the cash from other clubs. I don't see the SPL/SFA/FA doing any kind of merger. It would have been interesting if Rangers were booted from the football league if they sought a place in say the northern premier league, or something like that. Would be a fun football manager challenge to get them to the EPL... but I think I would vomit blood if I played any game using them. I certainly don't think any club should be given a free pass to the Football league (league 2) let alone the EPL. What do you think Wrexham (1921-2008) and Newport (1920-1988) etc would think of that as "foreign" clubs in the English football pyramid and they can't get back to the football league. Founding members of the EPL who would probably also take issue. Coventry City - League 1 Oldham Ath - League 1 Sheffield U - League 1 Sort of part of the first years are also Notts County League 1 and Luton Town Conference National.

It is too bad they have to pay debts with the cheque that Celtic already got from selling Ki. Still a good turn around for a guy that probably would've walked for free after his contract was up. I like the sell on clause too. I hope we finish the swedes off in Glasgow and can pay off what debt it left. As bad as Celtic were against Helsingborg, they couldn't score and Foster was good when they did hit the net. Celtic could've buried a few more. The game could've been 4-3 for either side tbh. The Luton Town and York City BSP playoff final was great. The winning goal was a terrible non-call offside. The dumb linesmen then called the next attack offside when it was a good three yards onside... Luton are cursed to stay out of the football league. I thought Wrexham was a lock to win the league, but they also end up staying down. I saw a Fleetwood Town and Lincoln City game and Fleetwood were pretty good. They could do like Stevenage have in the football league. Also, was this not the first year that a newly promoted club has not been relegated next season since the forming of the EPL? Watching the League 1 finals right now and going to watch the League 2 playoff finals tomorrow. I think the fact this will be Le Toux's fourth year in the pacific northwest and 6th year in north america that him probably enjoys playing on this side of the pond. Camilo has at least two years on his contract and already has one year down as a Whitecap player. Personally I'd go with Camilo, but I'd not buy either over a Cannon jersey!!!!! (jk)

Watched a couple of the Rangers last games (Arabs and Killie).. Wow, pretty feeble. The fact they can't stay above the red shows how poorly they've been run the past few years. Smith is the only reason they were able to win the title the last few seasons. Enjoyed the two Porto matches with Citeh. Too bad it's in the Europa league, but whatever.

Yeah, I hate Boyd (Hun) and never thought much of Robson and his skills for SPL level and would probably do fine at MLS level. I've seen a few games with him at Boro and he seems as though he hasn't lost any of what skill set he did have. The Whitecaps have about 10 players for the midfield guys and if they play 4-3-3 will have no problem. They need help at the back because DeMerit can't stay healthy (hope he does) and Boxall is crap. They have two good fullbacks and pretty much no cover. Bonjour and DeMerit to start with Mitchell and Boxall as cover is okay at centre half. But, with Rochat and Lee the only cover is harvey! Rochat showed that he can play a full season no problem, but Lee is certainly not young at 34 and unless they plan for some of their holding mids to slot into fullback slots...

Well I don't think he will slot into the starting lineup. He's developed more into a depth player and with his ability to play multiple positions and him being from Vancouver it was probably fairly easy to sign him if his trial was good. You never know with Boxall with NZ too. I think with Knight and Janicki, Harmse still won't get the start in philly.
