And that’s exactly why I can’t stand NJD organization. How many time has the league go out of its way to rig the lottery in their favour? As far as I am concern, they are Oilers of the East. If we have a fraction of their luck in lottery, we would be in a much better place than we are now.

Devils fans are an annoying bunch of shots. Their constant claiming of Quinn will bolt to them on free agency and speaking like Quinn is already a Devil absolutely infuriates me. f**k that franchise and organization and hope this is just a one year wonder for them and they go out in the first round.

Pittsburgh has a game in hand and plays Chicago and Columbus. Florida plays Carolina. NYI plays Montreal. I believe Florida has the tie breaker and Carolina may rest some guys as they have nothing to play for. Which means that Florida must lose and NYI must win in order for the NYI to make the playoffs.
There is a good chance that NYI miss the playoffs. This sucks for the draft pick as Detriot will get a better pick, but it will also create a beautiful GIF and MEME that will last forever with you know who. Which is more important to you?

As long as the Islander's pick doesn't win the lottery, the pick is only 1 or 2 spot differece in the late teens. Honestly not that big of an issue. The fear is Islanders win the lottery and drafts in the top 10 this year and implodes next season and we pretty much gave up an unprotected 1st round pick for the 2024 draft.

Todays NHL scheduling is as moronic as it could be. So many matinee games in the East with all 3 Western Canadian teams being part of them.
Then you have a Jets and Blackhawks game where the puck drop would be 9 PM local time for Winnipeg fans attending the game.

This game is miles ahead in terms of entertainment and a part of it is due to Shorty and Cheech's commentary.
