I am one who likes JB , yet agree with taking Adam Gaudette in the 5th was bad . however I do like that he took Neill in the 5th . player who dealt with adversity with his heart murmur / surgery also just like you mentioned about Jasek , he was a late eligible birthdate for 2014 . so 2015 low round pick for a solid defenseman is a great gamble , especially if he has the character we are after as part of building this team . **ps - we have a good looking track record of Dmen in the 5th round .... ** - Bieksa , Corrado , Hutton , Cederholm , Forsling . but back to Jasek , he is the pick this year I am most excited about . believe he will be our best player coming out of 2015 !! if he is 6'1 that is a solid height to work with . people who saw him at development camp said he looked thin . which leads me to believe he is not actually 190 . more like 165-175 . however yet again , he was one of the most conditioned players there . which leaves me to believe he is very committed to playing hockey professionally . again coming back to building a team of character guys who work hard . I think he will use this off-season & next year to bulk up & improve strength . we see him next summer at 180-190 & stronger on the puck , etc . also hopefully coming over from Europe for the ahl / chl .

I believe he is actually 6'0 - 6'1... so above Marner height , just needs to start eating meat & potatoes .

so in hindsight we should have kept our 2nd for this past year , drafted Rasmus Andersson !!!!!! then traded Bieksa for Etem ?

I am very happy that we drafted Virtanen , and was hoping so at the draft as well . However I recently watched Nylander's 2014/15 highlights & wow . He is good ! Just like you said and I agree , he seems like the player to me to completely disappear come playoffs time . Where as Virtanen will likely strive & drive the play with his speed/physicality .

I believe the Shane Doan is the best comparison in my opinion , (everyone entitled to their own) Great power-forward who is not a superstar , but a player who is so important to the team in more ways . May grow into the true leader , and face of a franchise . Notching 40-60 point seasons , 20-30 goals ,etc . If we get that from him , I consider the pick a huge success .

I love when people call Sven , Shinkaruk , Cassels undersized . They are 5'11" ... Not 5'5" . You know who else is 5'11".... ? Giroux ... Crosby ... Mackinnon ... Hasn't stopped them at all .

Going to pre-reference this with , I am a big fan of Horvat . As well as very happy with his current play . But does anyone think there was an offer for calgary's 6th on the table for schneider ? If so I believe I would have been okay with moving him to Calgary , Considering the state of their team on the decline . All said and done , I would prefer Monahan over Horvat .

Can anyone clarify some questions for me regarding Bo . If canucks get booted in round 1 , but Utica goes for a long playoff run . Does Bo have to go to London until they are out of Contention ? And if so will he be loaned to London to bolster their team for the playoffs?
