  1. furthermore, in the Pacific division alone it would give Vegas, LA, SJS and Seattle when they come in a leg up on the Canucks, they could buy out bad contracts, and spend themselves into rebuilds. NYR, Tor, Mon just to name a few would never have to rebuild a team the way we did from the ground up. Remember the 90s
  2. I like your post but I do disagree with you on one point I would not want to go back to a pre cap system the pre cap system benefits Canadian teams greatly especially when the dollar is weak as it is now Even the Canucks would get out bid by strong financial teams from the US The ticket prices would be worse then it is now
  3. I have one question for you and most fans Do you really think that most Players care about the Fans? Let me just say this, most don't and that's why they have agents. Agents help them get the most Money they can get. If they cared about the fans they wouldn't need agents they would take the first amount they got offered and be happy to do so. Here is another question Who's ruthless in this scenario Come this July 1st if Marky leaves and signs a 6.5 mill contract Benning only offers him 5.5mill So who is ruthless Marky for not taking less and choosing not to care about this fan base Or Benning for not offering him more Let me tell you it's a trick question, neither it is Business, Benning thinks about the team and cap space, Marky will just bring the same joy to a different fan base and make more money. As soon as fans understand that players really don't care about fans, the fans themselves can become impartial
  4. Just so you guys know if Marky requires surgery this is not a procedure that can wait and he can play through if he does require surgery he is done for the season and will have 6 month recovery
  5. All I'm saying is this type of injury is consistent to one caused by over strain over working the muscles in the knee
  6. No one has even mentioned that this injury could be Greens fault for over working Marky
  7. You are assuming that Demko's experience and growth stays stagnant I don't think that is what would have happened if Demko had played 40 games so far this season
  8. Marky is one part of a whole team, So yes the team with Demko in net can still have posted a similar record
  9. Marky has sh@t the bed in games to we don't know what the out comes would have been if Demko played all the games that Marky did
  10. You just like I have no idea what the out come of the games would have been with Demko instead of Marky in net for those games
  11. If Demko lets in a bad goal people will say Marky could have stop that My response is Marky wouldn't have to make that same save cause the games will turn out completely different with different goalies in net, We only get to have one reality
  12. If we make the playoffs with Demko in net you can't say we would have with Marky in net Same goes the opposite If we don't make the playoffs with Demko you can't say that we would with Marky Well people will say it but nobody can know for sure
  13. They could miss the playoffs with Marky in net, they could miss the playoffs with any goalie in net They could make the playoffs with any goalie in net We don't live in the the world of could we live in a word of what happens
  14. All my thinking comes from one thought when talking about the Canucks That thought is, This is year 1 of a 7-10 year window Signing Markstrom could handcuff this team 4-6 years. If Marky falters unloading him could cost to much Demko has 1 year left on his contract and will be a rfa after that contract, JB could then sign him to a contract similar to that of Marky's current contract 3 years 3.5 millish and if Demko falters he can be replaced much easier
  15. Then management has to decide what they're willing to pay Marky and if it's to much go after another Goalie
  16. Marky's injury is the best thing to happen for this team not in the short term but in the long term. It either drives his cost down (knee injuries to goaltenders can have long lasting effects) Or Demko proves we don't need Marky and Managment let's Marky walk
  17. I think staying pat on the defence was a good idea, if they had added I was hoping it wasn't a big name just some depth I agree with JB the Depth should come from Utica This is year 1 of a 7-10 year window
  18. All aboard the Demko train I have been here all season and will be welcoming you on As Demko's biggest fan and Marky's biggest proponent of not re-signing him I welcome every one to the enlightened side Demko is the present and Future Marky is the past
  19. But I am happy the injury happen I'm not happy some one had to get injured buy trust me I'm I could not be more happy this injury happened It could stop Benning from making what I believe could be a his biggest mistake if he re-signs Marky
  20. See people have to twist my words cause the premise actually makes sense You guys can't actually refute what the post is about
  21. Ok let me clarify happy about the injury not that a person is injured
  22. That's not what I'm saying at all Marky is going to be a 30 year old UFA goaltender and the Canucks have a viable replacement for him That can not be said about Petey, Hughes, Horvat, Boeser or Miller For the rest of the team at the right price any of them are tradeable
