      her,s one i bet ya didn't know there was a house band here years ago  played in the rupert hotel they were called green winter and the when they left here they renamed themselves trooper

    brad gassoff played for the canucks. he,s now the hyws forman from barkerville to quesnel. i,ve met him a couple of times at avalanche courses when i was with hyws.

      when i was a kid in the fifties, every saturday night, we'ld sit in front of a giant radio and listen to foster hewitt calling the games on hockey night in canada....it was tradition....

    a senior a team came to rupert they were the burnaby lakers we beat them 10 2 on the fri.nite 8  0  sunday aft. ya i don't think they expected that. same with the victoria capitals they just didn't measure up to us at all lol

    hello smithers joe i used to go to the smithers hockey school 73 and 74 tried out for the nats ended up making the kings in rupert in 76 played the totems 4 times or so. back in the day. there was a kid that lived across from the rink his last name was Little i thought he,d make it some where he was pretty good.

      i think this current version as more talent than when kesler burrows,bieksa and that bunch had. In a few years like it took that version what do u think?

      i don't know but there is a good amount of potential with this group...it takes time for new talent to transistion into good nhl players...we have to be patient...

      yup it took that last version 5 or more years to gel into the 2011 run
