  1. And then in 2 years you'll say trade those prospects for more draft picks right? The game of Hockey is played with actual physical humans you know, not picks.
  2. I read that he can shot gun two beers at once while riding a unicycle..... but thats just what I heard from a friend of a friend one time.
  3. Highest celing on the Canucks, even after Dubois.
  4. I find it so silly and unnecessary when posters or whomever I talk to bring up glory days about how good they used to be or how good of a "shot" they may have as apart of a conversation about Hockey. Were talking about the Canuck's here not you. Save those stories for your grand kids. Im not a fan of people who get off tooting their own horn. But yes shot is most definitely all technique, however if you do have a few extra pounds its not gunna hurt the power or velocity of your shot by any means assuming you dont have a muffin for a shot to start with. Jake has a really good shot, not great yet. I still think he needs to work on his accuracy, and trying to shoot from better areas on the ice.
  5. Pretty positive Tanev has a better shot than you, no need to pump your tires there farm boy.
  6. cherry picking much on that empty net'r.....tisk tisk
  7. Im just being optimistic. But I do see that Brock is special, I have no doubt he'll be turning heads again next season.
  8. I see his numbers going up this year. 1.One year older 2.Tyson Jost. 3. Receives ELC after next season
  9. Correct. It was their colleges schedules with school that were holding them back in the past (Demko atleast) so they should be both be able to participate this year!
  10. Most important position on the team. Or atleast the one with most impact.
  11. He'll probably have a better year than Markstrom did last year in Utica. I can can see him getting a shot at backup after just one year. I'm obviously just speculating. But judgin by his size and athleticism and body of work in BC. This kid is the holy truth. As far as I'm concerned he is the new core.
  12. Alf your a weird combination of always asking silly questions like "will McCleod be our #1 C" and "Will we trade Tanev when Stecher makes the team" to being so positive about the dumbest of content like being absolutely positive Demko didn't ask his parents to help him pack, which is totally common for North America college students on the planet earth FYI. But I guess aliens don't know that. Check your filter sometimes and you might get a little more respect around here.
  13. Haha you could be right. Maybe my Hype for Thatcher is too high. There definitely is hype I can tell you that. I just know most teams would love to have him in their pipeline. I am guilty of homerism from time to time.
  14. I realize it's a different scenario. But we're talking about rights to a player. Just because they already signed an entry level contract doesn't make them worth more. All this still points that Thatcher would be worth more than 7th Agree to disagree.
  15. I mean we traded Edmonton a conditional 5th round for Larsen's right.... Demko >>>>>>> Larsen Regardlesss of that, your right. Demko will get inked hopefully any day.
  16. Im hoping this is an attempt at humour
  17. Just from viewing Troys play on UND this season, I'd have no problem saying Stech is more dynamic and evasive in the offensive zone than Hutt's. However Hutton is probably more well rounded obviously playing a full NHL season and learning first hand from the pro's. Stech has a different potential than Hutt's IMO. More pp/attack orientated.
  18. Hopefully, with Stech and Boeser now Canucks a culture of UND players being farmed for Vancouver begins. We're definitely one of the franchises young players probably give a good hard long look at when it comes to signing seeing we have so much opportunity for young players to make the jump. Great Sign, plus 1 GM JB
  19. Skating with Oshie and Parise though. You gotta love Brock's attitude.
  20. I'm sorry Alf but that's Garbage. Schneids is emerging as one of the best goalies in the league. Especially the amount that devils team sucks and cant play defence, Corey is one of the only reasons their so competitive. He's got 35 wins on that devils team this year that's the same amount as Fleury and Bishop both goalies with playoff calibre teams in front of them. Schneider is amazing and plays with pressure all year, so your comment is pretty empty there mr. third person.
  21. Virt is adjusting to the game DeNiro, He's the kind of player that doesnt need to get on the score sheet to make a difference. Jake is progressing just fine if you ask me. I dont think he was expected to jump into the league and score 20 goals. Virtanen isnt that kind of player. If he keeps progressing steadily hopefully in a season or two we can expect some more output from him. I do agree with you however when we dont need to rush these players. I just dont think your comment how having Jake on the team is negatively affect's him holds up very well. Not to mention his corsi is one of the best on the team. He's ready for the NHL he's just fine tuning his style.
  22. Look at it this way guys, Jake can spend some quality time with his boy Justin Beiber while working on all his comeback lines for the other players who chirp him for hanging out with Justin Beiber. Sounds like a productive week. Love JV tho.
  23. Honestly, how difficult is it for the haters to make a thread about hating Jake, and fantasizing over Nylander? Do it haters. In fact just head over to Toronto, buy a leafs jersey and don't come back Jakes our Boy
  24. here http://www.sportingcharts.com/dictionary/nhl/corsi-number.aspx and no, it doesnt take into account what the had for breakfast either Alf
