oh I totally get where ur coming from I probably should've said why I thought he was skinny. He looked skinny in his pads in highlight vids and has a very young, non developed face/neck so I thought the rest of his body would be the same. When I saw the matured body under his child like face I was pretty surprised hahaha

In the video his body looks wickedly muscular for a guy that I thought was small and skinny... maybe his strength will be NHL ready come October

I completely agree with this. There is nothing I would love to see more than Jake ripping up the league as soon as next year even. However, there are so many doubts looming in the back of my mind and he hasn't given me reason to believe my dreams will come true for him. Edit: I just realized this is the Brock thread! this kid is going places.

From what I've been reading as a guest, as far as I know, beyond pick 1/2 there is no set player that everyone knows will turn into a success. If we don't pick in the first 2, I think we just need to be ready to trust benning and know that there's a chance whoever he picks doesn't turn out. (Even the first 2 could be the next Yakopov) Every mock draft I look at is different, and there was one that showed the range for which different scouts put that player. For picks 3-8ish it said next to each name that scouts had this player from 3-13 or 3-14 or 3-second round even (I believe that was Liljegren) I guess I'm just trying to be an omniscient voice for this thread so that the hate/dis belief is minimized for our pick because at the end of the day he is ours and we can only hope JB was right. I'm not that confident with the players in this draft because it seems really weak but it is what it is. Heres to hoping who we get is the next superstar! Thanks (First post hopefully it made sense!!)
