My concern with this holdout is that if it drags past training camp then when we do get him here he won’t be his best. His rookie year started great but he got hurt before it ended, his second year he wasn’t in game shape due to the lingering injury and couldn’t be his best, and now he might start another season without getting up to game speed. I’ve been waiting to see Boeser at his best but this situation may prevent that.

I recall Burke always talking about how every teams scouts look for a Tom Wilson type player (less all the dirty nonsense.) Does Pod fit that type of player? Curious what others think on this. Either way, love the pick and I can’t wait for him to make the ice safe for our other players.

Yup, guilty. I spent the rest of that day watching his stuff and was excited by the next day. After that draft I stopped relying on TSN to tell me who the Canucks should take (always the safe good Canadian boy.) Fast forward to now I have his jersey and I was lucky enough to meet him and have him sign it. Full circle eh?
