  1. This for me is a tough top 12 to judge, basically because 5 are playing for the US Under 18's. Not saying that Hughes, Trucotte, Caulfield, Zegras and Boldy aren't good hockey players it's that with all five playing on the same team one would assume that their numbers would be exceptional, and it's difficult to compare them to other players who don't play under those same circumstances. In other words, what would the numbers look like for Cozens, Dach, Podkolzin, Krebs and Newhook if they all played on the same team. So I'm choosing by who I think will be available at 10, my first choice would be Krebs, then Broberg or Newhook.
  2. Three things I distinctly remember to this day. Had ice-level tickets at the blue-line, Smyl was flying down the right side and as he hit the blue line I could hear everyone yelling for him to shoot, so he did and with the best seat in the house I watched in amazement as his shot from 50 feet out went over the goalies left shoulder right top corner and into the net. Next - Towel Power. What was funny was that it's not like today when the towel is of moderate size. Back then where it all started people were bringing in all sorts of different towels of different sizes and it's one thing to waive the tiny towels like they use today, it's another when you start cranking up a bath towel and - well you had to be there. And finally - During that time there was a hit song by the Hollies called - 'He Ain't Heavy - He's My Brother'. At one end of the arena behind the goal and half-way up there was a fan holding a sign that said "He Ain't Heavy - He's R. Brodeur". As it has been repeatedly stated, we were ecstatic to be in the finals, absolutely no one thought we would win, yet I can't remember a time where I've had so much fun.
  3. According to the latest combined Mock drafts the players that are the most likely to be available at 10 through 15 would be Boldy, Krebs, Broberg, Soderstrom, Newhook and Kaliyev. Of the six I'd like either Krebs or Newhook. My 'Realistic, I hope he drops to 10' would be Podkolzin.
  4. Boeser 2 year bridge deal at around 5.5 to 6.5 mil per year. Now what he accomplished over those 2 years is anyone's guess so what he makes after that - 5-8 years 5-9 mil per???

    Gretzky + Orr

Seen Orr play in person twice, watched him a lot more on TV. Trying to make a comparison with the two greatest players in the history of the sport is tough for me to relate to because Orr changed the game to what it has now become and Gretzky with his skill set came along at just the right time to take advantage of that change. Gretzky and Orr hold most of the records, imagine what their numbers would have been like if they'd played together, in their prime on the same team. Good Grief.
