Says right there with the LTIR that they will be 700K under the Cap
Yeah that’s my point. It doesn’t seem like we are in a cap crunch atm?

I’d rather keep Boeser, get a good seaso a Dun trade for draft picks maybe 2 1st rounders. Rather get Kuz cheaper & he is in the tail end of his career.

Canucks get older? That doesn't sound like what Allvin / Rutherford are talking about.
Tanev is 34 in December and has 1 more year at a $4.5M cap hit
He will be on LTIR in no time. This is about clearing cap!

I hope everyone just accepts everyone is allowed to be who they are even if those like us aren’t like us.
Isn’t that the way of ‘us’ being ‘us’?
We are all Canucks, no?
They can be true to themselves while supporting others. This is exactly what they said in an interview. They accept others but they are being true to themselves.

So if a person is a bigot, like Reimer and the Staal brothers, it’s okay because their bigotry is based in religion?
How were they being a Bigot? They were following their beliefs?
Defnition of Bigot:
a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.
They were not by definition doing this. Name calling is uncalled for. Why can they not be who they are while accepting other just as they said? Its only one way?- 1

I hope everyone just follows their beliefs & supports this at the same time in a way they can stay true to themselves.

Different Murray
Doesnlt matter lol we got them clocked!

Why would they let Murray play against the Canucks lol

Apples to Oranges. They are both equally valuable in their positions. Take one away and our team looks different. I would argue that Demko is our most valuable piece today.

Maybe just a change of vibes. Bo seems like a really good guy and I doubt he ever caused any issues deliberately, but he has a bit of a somber mood about him that never inspired confidence with me. That might have rubbed off on the team a bit.
I agree Bo doesn't seem like the type to create drama in the locker room but maybe he would have been a better Assistant Captain? I don't know but I agree, vibes probably changed for the better? Time will tell.

I feel like some of the players have really stepped up since Horvat left. Maybe there was more to the story. I like Bo a ton. Maybe it was best??

Do what you can to keep Demko, whatever it takes. If Demko leaves, I bet his coach follows.

I wouldn’t doubt it. Jim looks checked out in the recent interviews. Linden for President though I doubt he would take the job.

Love schenn. He’s a bottom pairing guy who can play up the line-up if needed. Character, class, truculence. He’s a great add for a playoff run. B+ prospect/second, maybe a first.
He took a cheap deal to be here, and if he wants to re-sign and not be traded I’d be happy keeping him. Happier if he’s willing to be traded and sign here in the summer. He is the vet culture we need - and I want to see him in a Canucks sweater as long as he wants to wear one and can be effective on the ice. I’m on team rebuild/heavy retool, but Schenn is a keeper.
100% agree. I love this guy.

I'm glad management didn't hold onto the asset and let him walk as a UFA. Flip side, underwhelming. JR tanking hard.

Lou Lam get his first round pick back from NJ. Is this the end of the Schneider trade? Time will tell.
-
No thank you. Easy Pass.

Personally I would move Boeser too to retain picks but risky play
I agree. Boes is good, real gud but only when he is consistently playing... I think its a risk but one you take because of his injuries.

Cap would have to triple to make a 3rd pairing dman making 6+ million friendly.
I don’t see him as 3rd pairing. He is a 2-4 dman. Even if it’s 1-2million over payments in the second half of the contract. That’s still better than a lot of teams!

team friendly for the 1st half maybe.
I think the cap will be much higher in 4yrs making this friendly for the full 8. Or even better if they buy him out.

How does Pete feel? I wonder if this factors into his next contract.
