    .500 hockey on the dot. How can anyone feel good about this going into the off-season? Where is the higher standard? It sort of feels like a lot of people are ok with this season. At least everyone who loved the wins at the end when it didn't matter but man .500 hockey and some are satisfied. Bleh!

    But I don't think the Canucks will miss the playoffs next year unless Pettersson or Demko get season ending injuries.

     

    They will finish in a Wild Card spot or maybe 3rd in the Division... then get eliminated in either the 1st or 2nd round... unless Demko stands on his head and the Defense has been improved... but I don't see a lot of room for high quality defense additions with the Canucks' Cap situation.

    Well it's just weird that they were so close to getting an impact player that they thought, hey let's get better right now. Let's do the opposite of every team around us. I am sorry but it's bizarre thinking. You make yourself better to get worse in this years draft when you were already going to miss the playoffs. Just smells like an aquilini move.

    The d is still a major work in progress. After Hughes and Hronek there isn't a lot there. Yes all these dmen came up and did well but again at the end of the year. Still need one more solid dman.
