The BS call on Petey resulted in a PP on which they scored the equalizer. That was 100% the refs
Yes but without Demko it wouldn't have even been close.

Nucks: 1 PT
Refs: 2 Pts
Outshot 41 to 18 or whatever but ok it's the refs. They shouldn't have been in this game and without Demko they wouldn't have been.

canucks robbed of a win all thanks to the officiating.
Ummmm. They were outshot 41-18. I don't think it was the refs. The flames actually didn't have that many shots on the pp.

Anyone who thinks this team is close to a playoff team is crazy. If you get outshot 40-14 in a game and have to rely on your goalie as badly as the canucks have, they aren't ready to take that next step. I just wish everyone would stop saying they are so much better. A bit better defensively but not by a ton. They still have to rely on Demko way to much.

If flames can't pull this out they really are going to have to blame their pp. It is awful. Canucks pp looks way better and is much more dangerous.

Markstrom is sure terrible this year. Yikes!

Plain and simple ... we aren't as bad as the wet blankets thought we were.
Maybe not but they still have to prove themselves when games matter and start strong next year. If they have another bad start it negates everything they are doing now.

What's the status on the blue seats?
They are going to do five seats before each game scattered throughout the arena to get the job done. Slowly we will start to notice.

Well, if you were hired by me I would fire you if you don’t do what my company wants you to do.
Get it?
It seems you steer away from the fact that this is private companies doing what they think generates most money. -

Wait. You're just making assumptions that players are being pressured into doing the right thing, instead of actually believing the majority of players actually support inclusion for all? All this in the same conversation after you were calling me out for focusing on the negatives too much?
Is that irony? This feels like irony. I reckon you're trying to be a good person in this conversation be we're not getting anywhere, so let's just seperate and go our on ways on this one. Cheers, enjoy the pre-game tonight!
I was saying that I would want players to do it because they want to not because they feel pressured or are reacting to the criticism of players who have chosen no to. I mean look at how some fans are reacting and the insane remarks that are sometimes made. Being booed and called names does affect peoples decisions. I wouldn't want that to be a reason to choose to support something. It has to and should be genuine.

Holy crap, what a bunch of whining. They shut him down because they want him to be fully healthy next season and this season doesn't matter. We all would make the same decision. He will be a great player. Go Canucks Go!

Honestly, the OP has some legit questions, WTF did happen to that?!
It kind of went unanswered. It's weird how much they talked about something coming close to all of a sudden being dead in the water. Who knows. Maybe something is going to happen soon. They like to surprise us. Maybe they have built it already. hmmmmm.

I know Tocchet has a game to win and glad he cited personal reasons, but it would have been a nice move to just scratch Kuzmenko and spare him the criticism. Guess it'd be too obvious though. Good to see Podz and Kravstov scratched (although that could easily be their bad play).
As many on the boards I understand the decision and I guess in the western media public face, saying it's for personal family reasons says enough.
Shame that these Pride jerseys have caught so much negative attention but I guess it's good the conversation is happening. I'm surprised so many players aren't taking part for non-political reasons though.
I always thought it was odd that there are so few (none I can even search apart from Prokop, a Flyers prospect) NHLers who have come out as gay/bi/non-binary, surely there must be more and for some reason the taboo has stuck?
Anyway, good to see a dedicated Pride night, I'd like to think there'd be a few more next year but without all this Russian and Christian drama and just let it be a celebration rather than a condemning of players.
Especially when you know how well liked by his teammates and how he is genuinely a happy and positive person. Some people respond by tearing him down for a decision that is his free choice to make. I don't think he is trying to hurt anyone. I just think we all need to react respectfully and look at the positives.

That went right over your head, as you were too busy looking for gifs, I guess. My statement clearly stated (the use of air quotes is commonly applied in modern day nomenclature to bring a sense of irony to the usage of the word) that I don't separate fans into false and real fans. From those who believe in tanking for a high pick, to the pom pom waving cheerleaders, every one of them is a fan. The only one who can truly judge a fan's fandom is that fan themselves.
Squint in you need to.

Have I expressed any of those towards Kuzmenko or this situation? I have clearly said I'm disappointed, but understand. You're making massive leaps.
I also completely disagree. I see a lot of players who support inclusion in hockey, not people who feel pressured into doing the right thing.
It doesn't mean that it doesn't happen because you haven't seen it. You don't think these type of angry and upset reactions will cause players to just do it to please people?

You do have a holier than thou approach to fandom? I would agree with that. It's unfortunate though, as it prevents you from actually having meaningful conversations. It's easier to dismiss someone's opinion on the matter with a clever gif than ask them why they feel the way they do.
Hronek has shown to be a very talented player and a great add to the team. With a full training camp under his belt, and hopefully a proper partner acquired through FA or trade (same for Hughes), he'll have a great season this fall. That doesn't negate the fact that some people correlate how Pearson's situation unfolded and how that could still be an issue now, which I guess some "real" fans disagree with."Real" fans. Lol.
PhillipBlunt: "You aren't a real fan like me."
Makes it hard to take anything you say seriously.
Define "real fans" based on your opinion because that's what it is. Just your opinion.

You're saying we shouldn't be "focusing on the negatives". If everyone just wink wink nudge nudged this under the rug, that would be burying our heads. It's a bummer Kuzmenko isn't wearing it, that's not focusing on the negatives, it's addressing the situation.
Ok you are bummed that one player didn't wear it. We hear you, now let's celebrate the ones who did. Everyone is allowed to have the freedom to believe and live the way they want, I thought anyways. So he now has to be pressured to wear it and that will make you feel better. Wouldn't you want the players who wear them to want to do it on their own terms? Or should they be made or forced by fear to do it. I just think that they should want to. What I see happening is a lot of players doing it because they are scared of being criticized and told they are a horrible person. I dunno I still think we should look at the players who decided to do it because they wanted to.
