This franchise is cursed!!

Man this just feels like one of those games where we can't buy a goal. Frustrating to watch the season go like this.

Man its always right in the middle of the goalie.

Is there seriously not a better option thn Rousell on the power play?? Honestly I’d rather see Motte thr.
Nope. There is the lack of depth. It has been that way forever.

Keep shooting it into his pads boys!

That changed when Benning traded Madden and a second to get into the playoffs.

Please quit whining.
He's not whining. He's telling you what he s seeing. It is true. All the other teams who lost a big part of their team continued to win. They were mentally tougher than we are right now. That is obvious.

I am also tired of the word regroup. Its been used a lot lately.

What does this mean. How is this effort on the coach?
You can't come out every game and be outshot and not score the first goal. They aren't carrying the play to start. That is being prepared. The coach is supposed to prepare them and have them ready.

2 pk's aside, not a bad period. We'll get our PP.
Pettersson line is buzzing. Looks like everyone has a little more jump in general.
If we don't win this game. Its not going to matter if we played well and came up with nothing.

Regroup and get ready for the 2nd
How many times have we said that lately? It should be we were great that period.

Describe that period in one word.
Disappointing.

I really think were in trouble. Is it too much to ask to outhit, outshoot, outscore teams when you have lost three bad games in a row. I just want to see a hungry team. I am tried of hearing how good others teams are. We need to come out even more hungry. Trapping teams in their zone. It does happen people. Especially to our team.
-
I really didn't think they would be down 1-0. Its so disheartening. I really thought they would be wanting to prove something. I guess they are. This team is nowhere near a playoff team playing like this.
-
Down almost every game. They should be panicking. You can't come out after such a crappy weekend and play like crap. What does that say about this team?
-
After all the talk about coming out hard. How can you come out and not push the play? Its pathetic. They look so disinterested and have an attitude they have so much time. Wake up!

It was kind of disappointing blowing a 2 goal lead. It was their 3rd game in 4 nights after playing the hated Leafs the previous night.
Time to win at home with one of the best home records in the NHL. Go Nucks Go!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya its too bad all games weren't played at home but really we have had a terrible road record for a long time now. I just think they aren't mentally tough enough to handle momentum shifts in the game.

I don't know what he's doing behind closed doors, and neither do you.
I meant in game. Of course I really don't know anything about what goes on behind closed doors but we all see that he never benches the older players. He easily benches the younger players when they make mistakes. Doesn't seem right.
-
I guess what bothers me most is that, he is also trying to control the media from asking questions when he should really be worrying about his team winning the next game. I just question if he is the right fit long term but I am not the one making that decision. If things continue, Benning might not either.

Would you rather the Torts approach that he used with Hansen and Edler?
You think what he is doing now is working eh?

Of course he's holding them accountable. Just because he didn't rip his players in front of a 5 minute media session he isn't?
The Canucks have so many coaches that have every clip from the games. They are with the players everyday finding what they did wrong and how to improve them. It's the same with every job. A good boss doesn't try to embarrass you in front of everyone, they work with you behind the scenes to help improve you.
I mean in game , it sure looks like he doesn't. When has he ever benched a veteran for making a stupid, costly mistake?

No coach worth their salt singles out players in the press. Come on bud.
I just said you can say "Our veterens need to play better." He is allowed to say that. Coaches say that all the time.

To be honest a collapse should at the very least cost the gm his job. He has given up some of the future to make the playoffs and he hasn't spent money on bringing in really good players but players who shouldn't be paid that sort of money.

2 bad penalties and our third string goalie was in net, but it's Green's fault right? He must've told Sutter and Roussel to take those penalties
No but who holds those players accountable? He doesn't bench them, he doesn't even mention them in post game. Our veterens need to be better. So they don't worry about their jobs or not playing because he hasn't given them any reason to. That is on the coach. Veterens for some reason on this team are protected.

Who on here is confident if the canucks lose this game that they will still make the playoffs?
