Ok I guess I’m not allowed to say bad things about people, my whole gripe is against any player who has the blessing to play in the nhl and has the skill set but refuses to put in the necessary work. Virtanen is a bust let him go, it may come back to bite Vancouver but he is probably never gonna be what was expected. I don’t think they are to far away from actually contending, need a couple more big power forwards who will actually drive the net and get some shots through. Although the Canucks made it to game 7 they pretty much got outplayed at every part of every game except face offs and goal tending. When they failed on 5 min power play I knew it was over. Can’t say it was a disappointing year though lots of future excitement I’m hoping.

The pathetic thing about JV is that he has a descent skill set but just won’t put in the work. If anyone is stupid enough to sign him long term and big money then you may as well kiss that cap space goodbye to a press box seat which is where he’ll be. He’s in it for one person only and couldn’t care less about the team.

Why is it that the vgk’s can hit without being out of position? It’s called finishing your checks and taking the opponent out of position, not a difficult concept but it does take a lot of energy and effort which Jake generally doesn’t have. He’s very capable to of doing it but the love tap takes much less effort. It’s funny, he makes one strong back check and people think he’s great but then he goes missing for 5 games.

Jake isn’t even a 3rd or 4th liner, you gotta hit and skate hard neither of which he does. He is capable but just won’t do it except maybe once in a blue moon. Any stats that show he’s hitting are mere bumps not actual hits like Vegas is doing. I really can’t stand Jake because he has some good tools but has a terrible attitude and obviously doesn’t care about the team. The sooner he’s gone the better but I can’t imagine in my wildest dreams he can fetch a 1st rounder unless a GM is on good drugs.

I’m so sick of JV, did Vegas have no contact sweaters on? I don’t even want him traded just in case it’s his cry baby attitude that’s holding him back. Send him to the minors where he belongs.
