He had Willy and Travis as a adult professional. And correct me if I'm wrong but he only played about 60 games under Willy. I don't concider 2 a few. By definition, that's actually only a couple.

Regardless I have no idea what that has anything to do with the subject at hand. I said I would like to see him with a new coach, we weren't having a debate about how many coaches he worked with.

If you've had a couple of coaches (it's 6 when you include the bench coaches) and things are still a problem, you look to the common denominator. That's Jake.

Looking at Jake's last 2 contracts.  Both times, he played his best in the final year of his contract and conversely, he played his worst the year before the final year.  True to form (first year of a 2 year contract), Virtanen is having an off year this season.  If history repeat itself, next year should be a better one for him.  So if the Nucks can't trade him this year, they could trade him next year when his value could possibly be higher.

With this a lost season appearing most likely

    If Jake is traded:

Is it more important to fans to trade within division and get a immediate return?

Best player available that would require quarantine and  possibly lose in ED ?

Draft pick or protected ED player?

Just move him. His value has never been lower.

I honestly don't know what the answer is for Jake. Once in awhile he gets the puck with a head of steam and a clear idea where he wants to go. At times like that he is a force, but it happens maybe once every three or four games, for about five to twelve seconds. Too often he is hanging around the blue line in the defensive zone, not doing much of anything and not putting any pressure on the point man. The only advice I would have for Jake is that if you want to play more, play better when you get your chance. Be engaged, peed-off even, make your considerable size and strength count, punish those you play against with fast, tough hockey. Unfortunately for Jake, he is lost and I don't know if he'll ever find what it takes to be the player he could be, but isn't. I really think it is time for a change of scenery, and if he is moved, I will hope he becomes a star. But it won't be in Vancouver.

He seems to play like the friends he is going to see later that day are watching and he wants to be cautious and not embarrass himself. Maybe a change of scenery does it for him.

Our coach isn’t our problem.  Having 20 million of tied up salary cap in players not on the team is our problem.  Imagine Toffoli and Tanev still being here with leftover cap for Petey and Hughes.

Sounds like a GM issue. Instead of playing you guys, he overpaid for veteran 'leadership' only to watch it not happen.

    JB lucked out in Miller.

Yet the population continues to support it rather than demand wholesale fundamental change. The average person is so inundated with life and the pressures that come with it.

Many just grin and bear it, and then exact their revenge at the voting booth, not realizing that the differences between most political parties are superficial, and that most politicians are merely doing the least necessary to keep their meal ticket.

    This.

Waiting for the political defenders to attack you saying "run for office" or "come up with a better system" or be told to shut up and don't voice your opinion.

If there 7,000 politicians, 6,950 are disgusting.
