There are a lot of the same issues as the last few seasons. Falling behind early and often for example. With all new bodies on this team, it could be coincidence but it is more likely a result of the same message and systems. 3 in 2 games was good, but 3 pts in 3 games where you easily could have zero is not a confidence builder. Had they beat a team 6 - 1, Lost a game 2-1 and had a well played overtime game it would be a far different conversation. There too many of the same Green issues. The lack of toughness was very prevalent today as well.

Who is the toughest team in the league? Used to be easy to tell, we were them once. Now its one tough guy per team and they pretty much fight the other tough guy on the other team. We don't have a heavyweight, but it didn't really show up against Edmonton. We were tougher last year but it got us no where. I would like Ryan Reaves on the team, but so would nearly every other team. I would take Tom Wilson too. But I know that's not a popular opinion. 18 year old Sam Bennett?

Scary to think this team could finish with a worse record. I like out goaltending better, our D slightly better and same as the forward group (when healthy) but it could be more of the same. Best part will be watching the group in Abbotsford.

When I selected my seats, there was almost no seats sold. I think I was second group in. I went back to discuss marketing opportunities there, I was there in the 2nd to last day. I remember thinking there were only 20 of us in my first group and that maybe the area wasn't that supportive of the team in Abbotsford. That 2nd visit was pretty overwhelming. I was told they could have easily sold every seat to season ticket holder twice over. Should be a great atmosphere. It will be fun to see that building packed with Canuck fans. The old Calgary farm team just never worked and never made sense.

Is there a database of pre-season records? It would be interesting to see teams who played well in the preseason and if it translated to regular season success. I have a feeling they don't correlate but if they did, oh boy.
