Oh, cool. One thing I've always appreciated about punk shows is the energy the band has on stage (in most cases anyways). I find my music taste hasn't really changed over the years as much as it's expanded. I still listened to the bands that got me into music, my horizons have just broadened somewhat.

I've heard all of those artists. I'm a fan of Alexisonfire, Tool, and A Perfect Circle from that list. I don't really listen to the old school punk as much, because it was more directed towards the energy and message of the band, whereas I'm more about the technicality and depth of a band's music. Nothing wrong with them of course.

What band would qualify for that side of you? I'm probably not as musically open as you. I'm all over the map when it comes to rock/metal, but other genres are enjoyed rather sparingly.
