I give him credit. The guy did everything but win in the fight. In the end though hat is what separates the champions from the talkers. When the money was on the line. He just didn't do it.

Dominating someone for 4 rounds and then quitting is not grounds for a rematch. This is not a situation like was had with Shogun and Machida where Shogun kicked donkey and then the judge took the win away from him. Sonnen couldn't last the 30 seconds he needed to win the fight. He gave up.

The guy was being choked and arm barred at the same time. He may not have wanted to tap. But he tapped.. If he did it consciously or subconsciously it doesn't make a difference. The guy tapped and gave up.

What need is there for a rematch. The guy lost by quitting. No need to give the quitter a rematch. If it had gone to some egregious decision there is a case for a rematch. But this was a loss by quitting during regulation time.

Just saw the fight. Thanks for posting it guys. That should put some fire in Fedors belly again. Here is to hoping that he wants to avenge his loss right away and gets in the ring in september or october again .

Strange that Dana didn't bring up the fact he was trying to get on HBO at the time when Showtime Signed Elite XC. He couldn't make that deal happen either. This is all old news. Dana is all about anti competition. It's the reason they bought up pride and shut them down. He prefers a lesser product so he can make a little bit more money.

Go back and read what I actually posted. Back to reality now. These things will happen as long as there are entourages around ring. They will happen when guys walk in the ring to challenge others. They will happen at weigh ins as well. None of this is new to the sport or any kind of fight sport. Don't try and make them sound like gentlemen. They aren't. That's only what they want you to think.

LMAO. Yeah I don't understand or appreciate pushing a guy into the corner and hold him there so they don't have to actually fight their opponent. I have no problem with ground fighting. I actually quite enjoy it. That's why the fighting needs to be brought back to the middle of the cage/ring. These are supposed to be fights, not man sex.
