  1. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. I can't tell which this this. But I'm intrigued. Kids giving up over 4 million bucks to bet on himself with another team. As dumb as that may be, I kinda respect it. I'm rooting for him.
  2. Didn't stop him from actively seeking to leave, going as far as his agent publically stating it. Didn't stop Kuzmenko. I find you using the death of a man to try to justify Tryamkin not coming back overseas, and you miss judging the situation immensely, incredibly distasteful... You have zero idea what actually went into Tryamkins decision making, and your using the deaths in Russia as a gotcha. Gross...
  3. Nikita, who? if A Tree falls in the forest Does anyone care?
  4. mmmhm. Personally I think it would be a terrible move to pay to remove Myers from the roster right now.
  5. I'm not sure the relevance either. Yes, things are bad over there. But wasn't it reported Tryamkin was offered a contract over here and decided that it wasn't enough money to uproot his family? He made the decision to stay even with how bad things are over there right now. Sounded like he had the opportunity to bring his family over and decided not to.
  6. Start packing, just in case. Myers with this team till the trade deadline is not only the most likely move, it's also the best move right now. Why pay to dump a guy when you can likely get value for him at the deadline?
  7. Hopes a powerful drug, that's not a bad thing though. Just make sure Tryamkin can't smell it
  8. Well, I guess no GM gave him 4 million no question. Been saying this for months and was criticised in this thread. I never for a second expected him to actually leave Russia. He did this EXACT same thing last time. Said he would leave, resigned in Russia.
  9. What a range of opinions this player can cause We have some people claiming he will get a 4 million x 1 year contract and some claiming he won't get a contract in North America at all. Any minute now we should find out the results and see who was right.
  10. Some players develop later. He was a conscious top 10 pick a few years ago, he clearly has skill. He has also vastly improved in his checking and bottom half play in that time. The biggest issue with Zadina is confidences right now, he seems completely unable to drive the net and play in the middle of the ice. But it's not that he's not willing to put in the effort, he's been starting to forcheck hard over the last couple years. Wings are my eastern team since one of my best mates team is the Wings. When I've watched him, I still see potential to be effective. There is a possibility he rounds out his scoring and becomes a valuable middle 6 player in a new environment.
  11. Cap is king. I'm surprised a bad team didn't take a flyer on him. Low risk, high reward.
  12. Gotta hand it to him, he does just keep on keeping on in the NHL.
  13. I reckon it's taking time to sign because he had too many offers due to the tremendous amount of interest.
  14. His 2 way play has rounded out quite well since being drafted. He's actually an effective bottom 6 winger in that regards actually. It's his offense that isn't coming together. He has a similar issue to Virt, where he seems completely unable to cut in and drive towards the net. But, unlike Virt he does work hard defensively. It's unlikely he's ever a top 6 player, but he has good bottom 6 winger potential.
  15. A high upside swing. His cap is still low, and he only has a couple years left. Why not take low risk, potentially high upside chances? Also, what makes you say defensively suspect? He's been played mostly as a bottom 6 winger and actually been a very effective checker. He's 2 way play has come a very long way, he's just been unable to bring together his offense.
  16. Honestly, this is the exact type of player I want us to be swinging on
  17. I mean, there has been for the last 4 or 5 years, why would that change now?
  18. Now I see why we were out. Way to long, don't like this at all
  19. Mikheyev-Petey-Kuzmenko Hoglander-Miller-Boeser Beauvillier-Bleuger-Garland Joshua-Aman-Podkolzin PDG/Pearson Hughes-Cole Soucy-Hronek Juulsen-Myers Irwin Demko Martin
  20. Post-Benning Trauma Expect the unexpected Pleasantly surprised
  21. Elusive righty Was probably the right pick I wanted Benson
  22. Solid option for a 1 year deal. Great 5on5 player, can be sold at the deadline.
