  1. I've low key really liked what the stars are doing today
  2. Ok ok, that's not a bad deal. Adds up size to the lineup. I think I like this deal.
  3. Not a huge fan overall, but can't really complain about 1 year. We need bodies who can play. If we suck trade him at the deadline.
  4. Way to go Schenn. To rich for our blood for sure, but he's earned it.
  5. I wanted McLeod as well, but then someone mentioned he may be part of that team Canada thing. No bueno, not unless he's cleared.
  6. I'd be cool with this... But I really don't know if we need yet another winger
  7. I feel like that was a personal attack. It's to soon for me to talk about Benson...
  8. I remember! Do YOU remember when everyone lost their mind because we didn't draft Wilde with our 2nd round pick and took Woo instead?!
  9. Oh only friendly, I was just curious to why such a strong reaction. I don't think I notice his faults nearly as much as you do. Yes he made some bone headed plays at time, but overall I felt he was a good low maintenance option. He made the player he was beside better overall, and skated well. He wasn't particularly great at anything, but I don't think he had a glaring weakness either. I saw him as a great options as a 3rd par RD that could move up and play with Quinn in a pinch.
  10. I don't disagree with that. I hope we sign him on a cheaper 2 year deal now. But the reaction was far above just not wanting to qualify to me, so I'm curious about why such a strong reaction.
  11. Shows how little Montreal fans actually follow the process. Reinbacher was projected to go exactly in the range he did by most. He was ranked lower, but the general census was he'd be picked 5/6 in most mocks I saw. Not to mention he's going to be a heck of player and fills a major need for them.
  12. Wrote a couple of Haiku out at the fishing property that didn't fit my Canuck Haiku page. Rocking on the waves Surrounded by hilltop trees I feel I can breathe Don't startle the bear Alone, patrols the forest Alone, she should stay I ponder deep thoughts How much does this water weigh? Keeps me up at night
  13. Good stuff. Decent depth option, not sure if I have him penciled into a top 6 slot at the start of the season. But no issue with him as a depth option or a callup.
  14. I could see that being a fit. Looks like they will have some cap space if they aren't signing Bertuzzi.
  15. He definitely isn't the rock steady, pking 3rd line center we need. But if we can find one for cheap, I don't think I hate the idea of Duchene if he comes at a decent price. Maybe even for a 2C and move Miller back to wing. I have never liked Miller as our 2C, I think he's much better suited as a winger.
  16. Huh, can't say I expected Duchene to be FA. How much you think he's getting paid this summer? asking for a friend...
  17. Likely Femoroacetabular Impingement, and it's genetic. If I had to take a wild guess I would assume a CAM impingement due to the clunky way he skated. Means the head of the leg bone isn't the ideal round shape, and a little more flat so it has a hard time moving in the socket. Essentially, with FAI bones spurs start to grow inside the hip and little pieces of bone either rub on surrounding bone, or muscle or connective tissue in the area. Can be incredibly painful and limit movement severely. Hopefully he can fully recover and get back to playing at a high level, but I wouldn't be confident. I believe he had surgery on the same thing in 2019. There is something called Wolff's Law, that more or less mans if you pull on attachment points of bones they can elongate and cause spurs. If he has those spurs shaved down in 2019 and only a handful of years later he's having it done again, means that the bones are creating spurs at a pretty accelerated rate. Either that, or the surgery wasn't particularly successful the first time, which isn't unheard of, my understanding of FAI surgery is that it's only successful at reducing symptoms around 70% of the time. Gotta hope for his sake that he was part of the 30ish% that the surgery didn't take for, and this next one will be better.
  18. That room has needed a deep clean for years. I'm certain Wheeler will get a contract somewhere, he can still put up points. Just need a strong leadership group around him.
  19. make it 200!! I'm not pitching in anything, but I'm sure Doxm is good for it.
  20. no moves be made, yet ask, to thing or not to thing any minute now
