    I'm thinking that Garrison probably wouldn't waive to Florida. Did he not take a "home town" discount to sign with Vancouver. I also remember Florida trying to get him to sign an extension, but he chose to explore the market.

    Garrison is not waiving to go back to Florida. He could have just re-signed but chose to test FA and settled on Vancouver probably because it's close to home. Played minor in the lower mainland and junior in Nanaimo. Why would he waive and be several time zones away from his family and roots, when he just got here and signed a multi year deal?
