  1. Hodgson is a lot better than his current point totals. You can't tell me that Ennis or just about anyone else on that Buffalo team wouldn't be doing better on a better coached/managed team, I mean look at what Myers is doing in Winnipeg. I'm not going to compare Buffalo's coach to Tortorella, but you could think of it as what we saw in production from our guys under Tortorella, vs what we're getting out of them this year. Hodgson on a skilled team would be putting up big numbers. If we had him as our 2nd line center instead of Bonino, I'd be very happy.
  2. team Canada did that with Subban in the past, and they won the gold that year I believe
  3. Gaunce assisted the lone non-PP goal for the Bulls tonight in a 4-3 win where the Bulls were out-shot 51-30
  4. “It's a good bounce-back win,” Stolarz said. “We didn't want to win two in a row, especially on the road. We went out and played our game. Even though we have a couple of guys missing, we made do with what we've got and I think it was our best defensive effort of the year so far.” Quality writing
  5. Also want to add my appreciation for you doing this. It's so much easier for the majority if one person takes the time to get all that info and you're doing us that favor.
  6. He said forwards. Slava is a defenceman
  7. I do actually quite like that lineup suggestion as well, though that said, if it is the lineup I'd rather see Bo go back for another year in the CHL and give the spot to Gaunce. That being said, If Jensen impresses during camp he should get a spot which is why in any previous lineups I've made (if i've even made any this year) I've had him slotted in before Schroeder on the 2nd. But as you've said, Schroeder's probably our 2nd best passer after Henrik, though I think Burrows is underrated in that area.
  8. Based on the number, I'm going with pettinger. Also, the 24 and the jersey made it obvious enough that it was Mancari. I don't think I would have guessed Gragnani though for his picture, heh. Edit: based on the beard, it actually looks quite a bit like Higgins, and I can't remember if he was always 20
  9. While Schroeder was better, Ebbet definitely wasn't that bad. He made a real nice pass from behind the net out front to Gordon who shot it into Luongo's chest. That Raymond Schroeder Kassian line sure looked good, aside from Kassian making a few bad plays.
  10. Didn't watch it, but he was -3 with 0 points. The wolves once again sucked it up in the 3rd period.
  11. And man, if he has a Hartnell career, that works for me. He looks like he has much better hands and offensive instincts than Hartnell though.
  12. New article in the Province on him. http://blogs.theprovince.com/2012/09/23/if-nhl-season-isnt-lost-to-lockout-this-may-be-perfect-storm-for-schroeder/
  13. I don't understand what the problem with someone who would rather drink milk than beer. Is beer some sort of necessity to you people?
  14. "whenever it was tried" ya, for all 2 shifts or so...
  15. I don't disagree with you on the fact that AV shouldn't have played Tanev until we had some injuries, but my comment was in response to your post on the previous page (guess I should have quoted it as well): As far as not knowing jack about tanev, for the type of player he is and whatnot I didn't, but I did know of him, that the Canucks signed him as a good defenseman out of college (from these boards).
  16. Pretty sure he's being sarcastic based on expectations of people on these forums. That being said, it's not like Tanev really got a chance until there were like 4-6 injuries of our other defensemen. AV really isn't the type of coach to play our rookies much if he has the opportunity to play more experienced players. Maybe it has something to do with conditioning, I don't know, but he's shown he's not particularly keen to give rookies a super amount of ice time.
  17. Ah, I wasn't sure, my bad. Either way he'll be playing with them in the prospects tourney, so it doesn't hurt.
  18. I don't necessarily blame him either, as Rodin's at a stage in his development beyond probably all of the others attending the camp, but as he'd never really been in a position to come over to NA because of his contract and desire to play in the SEL still, it's not like the option for him to attend the prospects camp in the past was really there, so to me, for both of them, it makes sense to attend
  19. If you look at Rodin's numbers in the World Juniors he last attended, they led the team (well, tied with Pajaarvi) and he was playing on the 3rd line. I think he'll be able to put up good numbers.
