    Canucks 6 - 4 Kings F - Game 4 of the 2010 Playoffs - 04.21.10

Going into the fourth game, The Canucks had several issues to overcome. On the penalty kill, the team had difficulties keeping the puck out of their own net. Depth wise, Aaron Rome re-aggravated his injury in game three and his replacement was none other than Nolan Baumgartner. Baumer who was set to play his first NHL playoff game in seven years, did a tremendous job coming in as a sixth defense-man.
Off the ice, both clubs were fined for the shenanigans that took place prior to game 3 between Shane O'Brien and Jeff Halpern. When asked to comment, SOB didn't make much of the situation and said that they were just messing around.
Captain Luongo who got pulled in game 3, hoped for a better fate as he lead his team on the ice.
The LA Kings netminder, Jonathan Quick has been surprisingly good for the Kings. He struggled his way into the playoffs, but he seems to have found his game at the right time.
Early in the game, the Canucks penalty kill woes continued as the Kings scored the first goal of the game.
The first period flew by as the Kings held on to their one goal lead.
Four minutes into the second period, Christian Ehrhoff's shot from the point blew by Jonny Quick to tie the game at one.

Off a faceoff win, the Kings captain, Dustin Brown scored the 2-1 go ahead goal for his team.
In the first week of the playoffs, Pavol Demitra took a lot of heat and was publicly criticized for his weak play. But on this night, Pavol stepped up his game and scored the 2-2 tying goal.

Shortly after the Demitra goal, Anze Kopitar regained the lead for his team heading into the third period.
The Canucks were under a ton of pressure, they simply could not afford being down 3 - 1 heading into game 5.
Early in the third period, Alex Frolov had a golden chance to extend the Kings lead. As he shot the puck, Roberto Luongo stacked his pads and made a huge turning point save to keep the Canucks in the game.

The Canucks used that as motivation and for the third time in the game, they came back to tie the Kings with Mikael Samuelsson's tip in goal.

The Canucks were buzzing and they wasted no time to pull ahead as Sami Salo's blast beat Quick for a 4-3 lead.

The Kings were not going to allow game 4 slip away from them. Half way into the third period, Wayne Simmonds evened the score at 4.
The Sedin twins who had been quiet in games 3 and 4, finally stepped up and took over. Henrik Sedin with the help of his brother Daniel, scored a beauty to put the Canucks ahead with a couple of minutes remaining on the Clock.

The Canucks did a amazing job to defend the one goal lead and it lead Ryan Kesler to a empty netter goal that sealed the game.

There were some rough stuff after the horn, but cooler heads prevailed as the Canucks tied the playoff series at 2.

Once again, the Canucks showed tremendous heart by coming from behind and winning on road in a tough building.
Roberto Luongo stood tall and made the stops when it mattered and now the Canucks have to ride that momentum and dominate the LA Kings in game 5.
Both teams return back to Vancouver to play game 5 in GM Place. Catch that game on Friday, April 23rd at 7:00pm PST on CBC-HD.

    Flames 3 - 7 Canucks F - Game 82 - 04.10.10

Back in April 2008, when the Canucks and Flames met in the final game of the regular season, Calgary dominated that game 7 to 1. It also happened to be Trevor Linden's final game in the NHL and many Canuck fans did not appreciate the final result.
Last Saturday the Canucks had a chance to return the favor in-front of a national crowd. Prior to the game, rumors had it that Jarome Iginla was playing his final game as a Calgary Flame. If true, then the Canucks did a heck of a job by ruining Jarome's final game as a Flame.
Another story that had people all over Vancouver buzzing was Henrik Sedin going after the Art Ross trophy.
Coming into this game, Henrik was trailing Ovechkin by a single point. By the end of the night, with the help of his teammates, Henrik added four points to his total and was sitting in first place with 112 points.
The next day, Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins shut the door on Ovie's final game and allowed him zero points.
After a tremendous season, Henrik Sedin is the first Art Ross champion in Canucks history. Hats off to Hank on this amazing achievement.
Here's a short summary of how Saturdays final game played out:
After sitting out the previous game, Captain Roberto Luongo was back in the lineup and on the other end, Miikka Kiprusoff was in net for the Flames.
The Canucks had one mission and that was to get Henrik Sedin as many points as they could.
Rick "The Pitbull" Rypien wasted no time to open the scoring for the Canucks.

Minutes later, The Sedin twins and Kevin Bieksa team up to score a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal to extend the Canucks lead by two.

Daniel Sedin's remarkable season continued as he skated his way to the front of the net and roofed the puck for a 3-0 Canucks lead.

Late in the first period, Jamal Mayers tried to spark his team by taking on Rypien. That did not go well for the veteran as Rypien scored with a take-down.

The Flames scored back to back goals, but Ryan Kesler crushed any hopes of a comeback when he scored the 4-2 goal for the Canucks.

Minutes into the third period, Brother Henrik connected with brother Daniel for the fifth Canucks goal of the night.

Seconds late, the twins scored the goal of the year. It doesn't get any better than this, just watch and embrace the Sedin magic.

In the final minutes of the game, Kevin Bieksa rifled the puck through Toskala to score his second goal of the game.

What an outstanding performance by the Canucks. They worked as a team and it all paid off when Henrik won the Art Ross trophy the next day.
The Canucks now face the Los Angeles Kings in round one of the 2009/10 playoffs.
From what we have seen thus far, It's clear that the Canucks are more than capable of going to the Stanley Cup finals.
With Captain Luongo in net, Ehrhoff guarding the blue line and the Sedins working their magic up front, this Canuck squad will simply be unstoppable.
The Canucks will decrown the LA Kings, not once, but four times in a single week. That's right, your Vancouver Canucks will sweep the opposition in back to back years.
Game one is tonight in GM Place at 7pm PST and it can be seen on Hockey Night in Canada.

    Avalanche 4 - 3 Canucks SO/F - Game 80 - 04.06.10

With the North West division title locked up, the Vancouver Canucks looked to end their remaining games of the 2009/10 season in a dominating fashion.
The Canucks were also in pursuit of their first ever 50 win season as they took on a young Avalanche team who were fighting for their playoff lives.
Starting in net for the Canucks was none other than the man himself, Roberto Luongo. On the opposite end, Craig Anderson who has been the heart and soul of his team got the call to start for the Avalanche.
This game did no start well for the Canucks seeing how they kept turning the puck over with lazy giveaways. Eventually a weak clearing attempt would cost them as Darcy Tucker shot the puck through a screened Luongo to make it 1-0 for the Avs.
With minutes to go in the first period, the Canucks responded with one of their own as Daniel Sedin tapped in the loose puck to even the score at one.

In the dying seconds of the first, T.J. Galiardi's shot hit Luongo and bounced in to give the Avs the go ahead goal.
Half way in the second period, Mason Raymond raced down the Avalanche zone and shot the puck to beat Anderson short side for the 2-2 goal.

Once again the Avs were back on top when Paul Stastny regained the lead for his team.
On the very first powerplay opportunity for the Canucks, The Sedin twins teamed up to score the tying goal with minutes to go in regulation.

Overtime solved nothing and this game was off to a shootout.
Unfortunately for the Canucks, all three shooters failed to put the puck past Anderson. The only player to score was the Avalanche rookie and Calder trophy nominee, Matt Duchene.

The lone shootout goal was enough for the Avs to clinch a playoffs spot in the western conference bracket.
That simply ment that the Calgary Flames had been eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2003.
Overall the Canucks played a entertaining game and they responded when the had to, but the amount of giveaways is something that needs to be addressed.
The Canucks now fly to California for their final road game of the regular season against the San Jose Sharks.
Catch that game this coming Thursday at 7:30PM PST on Rogers Sportsnet-HD.

    Wild 3 - 4 Canucks OT/F - Game 79 - 04.04.10

Last night the Vancouver Canucks stepped on ice in hopes to lock up the North West division in back to back years.
Their opponent was none other than the Minnesota Wild. As you may know, The Wild consider Vancouver their number one rival and they never ease up when these two teams meet.
Back in the Canucks net was captain Roberto Luongo who was celebrating his 31st birthday. Happy birthday Roberto.
For the Wild, Niklas Backstrom was given the goaltending duties by his coach, Mr. Todd Richards.
Early in the game, the Canucks got penalized and the Wild had a golden chance to score the opening goal of the game. However, Alex burrows and Ryan Kesler were not going to allow that as they skated down the wild zone and scored a shorthanded goal for the Canucks.

Half way into the game, it seemed like Kevin Bieksa had finally scored his second goal of the season. But it turned out that Kyle Wellwood had tipped the puck by Backstrom for the 2-0 Canucks lead.

The Minnesota Wild had nothing but their pride to play for and they were not going down without a fight. In the third period, Andrew Brunette scored for the Wild to make it a one goal game.
Late in the game with Backstrom pulled, Alex Edler scored from his own end to put this game away.

But wait just a minute, this was far from being over. With less than a minute to go, the Wild rookie Cody Almond scored to keep the Wild alive. Shortly after, Antti Miettinen tied the game in the dying seconds to shock the Vancouver Canucks.
The Canucks had this game wrapped up, but with a few breakdowns, they allowed Minnesota to even the score.
During overtime, Greg Zanon got a hi-sticking penalty and that put the Wild down by a man, making it a 4 on 3 opportunity for the Canucks.
Coach Alain Vigneault sent out his big guns and they did not disappoint. The Sedin twins did a tremendous job to set up Sami Salo as he blew the puck right past Backstrom to win this hard fought game for the Canucks.

With that win, The Vancouver Canucks are your 2009/10 north west division champions for the second consecutive year.
That was also their 48th win of the season as they matched their previous years points total with 100 points.
This coming Tuesday, The Canucks will have a chance to match the total franchise wins in a single season with 49 victories when they take on the Colorado Avalanche.
Make sure to catch that game tomorrow at 7:00PM PST on Rogers Sportsnet and Canucks.com.

    Canucks 5 - 4 Ducks SO/F - Game 78 - 04.02.10

After losing their last game in a atrocious way to the Los Angeles Kings, The Canucks looked to get back on track against the Anaheim Ducks.
    The
between these two clubs ended in a one sided affair as the Canucks won the game 4 to 1. With five games remaining in the regular season, Vancouver needed a single point to clinch a playoff spot.
Andrew Raycroft got the call to start in net for the Canucks and on the other end, Curtis McElhinney was in for a injured Jonas Hiller.
The Canucks were off to a good start, but they simply could not cash in. After killing a penalty, a opportunist Saku Koivu scored the 1-0 goal for the Ducks.
We all knew this one was coming as Darcy Hordichuk and George Parros dropped the mits for a old school tussle.

Half way through the game, A snake bitten Michael Grabner sniped the puck past McElhinney to even the score at one.

The Ducks wasted no time to respond as Teemu Selanne scored the go ahead goal for Anaheim.
This was a good day for Michael Grabner as he forced his way to the front of the net and roofed the puck to tie the game at two.

Lo and behold, Michael Grabner struck again as he scored the very first hat-trick of his young NHL career to put the Canucks ahead by one.

Shortly after, Teemu Selanne scored his second goal to tie the game at three.
With six minutes to go in the third period, Jannik Hansen scored off the rebound to regain the lead for the Canucks.

In the late stages of the game, the ducks were awarded with a powerplay and they did not let it go to waste as Saku Koivu scored his second goal of the game to force overtime.
Overtime did not settle anything and it was up to the shooters to finish this in a shootout.
Up first for the Ducks was Corey Perry and he scored five-hole on Raycroft.
A cool and calm Kyle Wellwood faked his way to the front of the net and chipped the puck past McElhinney.
In the second round, Andrew Raycroft made a spectacular save on Teemu Selanne to put the ball back in the Canucks court.
A skilled Pavol Demitra was up next and he made no mistake to put the Canucks ahead 2 to 1.
In round three, Bobby Ryan had to score to keep the Ducks alive. Unfortunately for Ryan, Raycroft had other plans as he stopped the puck and won the two points for his team.

With that win, the Canucks clinch the 2009/10 playoffs.
This was a huge bounce back game for the Canucks as they now return to Vancouver for a two game home stand.
Sitting on top of the north west division with 98 points, The Canucks need a single point to lock up the division.
They'll have a chance to do that on Sunday night in a game against the Minnesota Wild.
That is a 7:00 PM game and it'll only be available on PPV.

The 8 to 3 loss that the Canucks suffered by the hands of the Kings last night is exactly what this team needed.
    Let's look back to
when the Canucks faced-off against a young Blackhawks team in the United Center. Right from the get go, the Canucks poured on the pressure and they neutralized the Hawks on their home ice. Emotions ran high when
broke out with gear and equipment spread all over the ice. Vancouver scored 4 goals and Roberto Luongo made 26 saves to match his career high with seven shutouts. After the game, both teams were ticked and that's when a new rivalry was born. Now let's look forward to
when the Canucks the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the 08/09 playoffs. During the waiting period that required the Canucks to wait for the completion of the remaining series, a majority of the Vancouver market looked for Chicago as the ideal match up for the second round of the playoffs.
People were making arguments that the Hawks were a young team with no playoff experience and that the series would be a walk in the park. I can personally relate to that as I shared the exact same thoughts. Sadly enough, the Canucks underestimated the Blackhawks and that's when the destruction of the Canucks began as they fell to a fast and skilled Chicago team in 6 games.
Now you may wonder why I brought up the events that took place a year ago. There is a strong possibility that the Los Angeles Kings may be the first round match up for the Vancouver Canucks.
Thanks to last night's dominating loss, the Canucks have no other choice, but to respect the LA Kings. They got a first hand view of what LA has to offer and that should be more than enough to eliminate the surprise factor.
A team with talents like Ryan Smyth, Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty, Dustin Brown and Jonathan Quick should not be taken lightly as they're more than capable to defeat any team in this league.
I just hope that the Canucks learned their lesson from last year's playoffs and they don't judge any team from here on. All they have to do is play complete 60 minute games and do their absolute best to come out victorious.
With that said, I expect a strong bounce back game against the Anaheim Ducks. Catch that game tonight at 7:00PM PST on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific.

    Coyotes 1 - 4 Canucks F - Game 76 - 03.30.10

Last night the Canucks went head to head against one of the leagues top teams, the surprisingly good Phoenix Coyotes.
At least that's what most of the people think. Personally, I think that the Coyotes are extremely overrated and they'll be eliminated in the first couple of weeks of the playoffs.
Don't get me wrong, their record says otherwise, but don't let that fool you. They have won 12 times out of 17 shootout attempts. Unfortunately for the Yotes, there won't be any shootout in the playoffs to save them.
They'll have to grind it out 5 on 5 in overtime and score in-order to win the game.
Altho they did beat the Canucks twice this year, both of their wins came in shootout. The 2 losing points were enough for the Canucks to win the season series with 6 points to 4.
They're also lacking big name players. The most recognizable names on the Coyotes roster are Shane Doan, Ilya Bryzgalov, Robert Lang, Adrian Aucoin and Ed Jovanovski. The rest are average players that have been playing the best hockey of their lives to this point, but don't expect that to carry over to the playoffs.
I will be the first person to take that back and admit that I was wrong, if they win a single series come April 15th.
Here's a short review of the game along with clips of of what took place last night in General Motors Place.
With Shane O'Brien out due to not following certain club policies, the newly acquired Andrew Alberts stepped in after sitting out 5 games.
The Canucks captain, Roberto Luongo was in net for the second consecutive start as he looked for his 38th win of the season.
On the other end, The 6'3, 210 pounder Ilya Bryzgalov was in net for the Coyotes.
With less than a minute in, it was obvious that the Canucks caught the Russian netminder off his game. Alex Burrows blew the puck right by Bryzgalov to open the scoring for the Canucks.

Shortly after the Burrows goal, Mason Raymond turned around and rifled a shot toward the net. The puck deflected off Matthew Lombardi and skipped by Bryzgalov for the 2-0 Canucks lead.

Ryan Kesler who we all know and love, threw a hit from behind on Derek Morris which resulted in Kesler being ejected from the game.
Derek Morris was at fault for seeing Kesler coming and not putting himself in a less vulnerable position.
Fortunately Morris was alright and the refs penalized Kesler with a 5 minute major and a game misconduct.

With the Man advantage, Radim Vrbata scored to cut the deficit in half for the Coyotes.
The NHL scoring leader, Henrik Sedin never shies away from a challenge as he forced Bryzgalov to turnover the puck and scored to make it 3-1 for the Canucks.

In the second period, the twins teamed up to score one of the prettiest goals ever. A sweet backhand pass from Henrik to brother Daniel and all Danny had to do was tuck it in under Bryzgalov's pads for the 4-1 Canucks lead.

Roberto Luongo stood his ground and made several key saves as he was outstanding in his clubs 46th win of the season.
The Canucks now travel to California for a two game road trip as they'll meet the Kings and the Ducks on back to back nights.
Catch the Canucks Vs Kings game this coming Thursday at 7:00 PM on Sportnet Pacific HD.

    Ducks 1 - 4 Canucks F - Game 74 - 03.24.10

With only eight games to go in the 09-10 regular season, the Vancouver Canucks looked to collect as many points as they could to win the North West division.
After a disturbing loss to the worst team in the league, the Canucks needed a good comeback game against the Ducks.
Captain Roberto Luongo got the night off to rest up for the Sharks game on Saturday. In the net for the Canucks was Andrew Raycroft and on the opposite end, Jonas Hiller was in for the Ducks. Whenever these two teams meet, emotions run high as both teams are full of agitators and things usually gets out of hand.

This game was no different, it took 90 seconds for the first bout to get under way. Tanner Glass managed to land a couple of solid shots on Sheldon Brookbank.

Half way in the first period, The Canucks capitalized on their man advantage opportunity as Christian Ehrhoff blasted the puck by a screened Jonas Hiller for the 1-0 Canucks lead.

With five minutes to go in the first, Darcy Hordichuk took on George "The Stache" Parros.

Late in the period, Daniel Sedin's dump in pass fooled Hiller and found the back of the net for the 2-0 Canucks lead.

The Canucks did not sit back as Henrik Sedin's beautiful backhand pass found Alex Burrows for a easy tap in to extend their lead by three goals.

The Ducks needed a spark and "The Stache" was about to make that happen. Parros wanted another go with Hordichuk, but his plan backfired as Darcy rocked him a few times and did not allow Parros to recover.

Half way into the third period, Saku Koivu scored for the Ducks to make it 3-1.
With 30 second to go in the third, Ryan Kesler scored the empty netter to seal the game for the Canucks.

The Canucks now have 45 wins and 94 points, that puts them 5 points ahead of the Colorado Avalanche for the North West division lead.

Andrew Raycroft stepped up his game and once again proved that he is a reliable backup and the Canucks should not hesitate to play him more often.

The Canucks get two days off and then they'll fly to San Jose for a meeting with the Sharks. Make sure to catch that game this coming Saturday at 7pm PST on Hockey Night in Canada.

On this beautiful Thursday evening, the Vancouver Canucks looked to bounce back with a huge victory over the San Jose Sharks.
The loss to the NY Islanders was a good wake up call for the Canucks and it should keep them on their toes and teach them not to take any team for granted.
A struggling Evgeni Nabokov looked to continue his success in GM place and on the other end, Roberto Luongo was in net for the Canucks.
Half way through the first period, Alex Edler blew the puck by Nabokov to make it 1-0 for the Canucks.

Minutes later on the powerplay, Ryan Kesler's wrist shot found the back of the net to make it 2-0.

With the Sharks top line held off the scoresheet, the rest of their players stepped up to provide a spark.
Ryane Clowe out maneuvered the Canuck defenceman and scored to make it a one goal game.
The Canucks got a nice little surprise when Ryan Johnson slipped the puck through Nabokov's pads for the 3-1 Canucks lead.

That was Ryan's first goal in 83 games and it turned out to be the game winner as the Canucks won this game 3 to 2.

From there, Mr. Mark Donnelly performed the Canadian National Anthem and it was GAME ON.

Gold medalist, Roberto Luongo got to start for the Canucks and on the other end, Pascal Leclaire was in net for the Senators.
The game started off as a tight checking affair, but it loosened up with a few penalty calls going both ways.
Close to the end of the first period, a red hot Mikael Samuelsson sniped the puck past Leclaire for the 1-0 Canucks lead.

Seconds after the puck drop, Jason Spezza deked his way around the Canuck Defenders to tie the game at one.
The Canucks got themselves in penalty trouble, but Alex Burrows found himself on a shorthanded breakaway and scored to regain the lead for the Canucks.

After the Burrows goal, the Sens lost some confidence and they continued to cough up the puck.
Half way into the second period, Mikael Samuelsson backhanded the puck through Leclaire's pads to extend the Canucks lead.

Back in February 4th, 2010, Rick Rypien and Chris Neil had their very first bout, tonight they went at it again for Round II.

A rattled Senators team could not contain the Canucks forwards as Daniel Sedin easily skated around Leclaire to score the 4-1 goal for the Canucks.

Former Canuck, Taylor Pyatt had a solid game and he scored to even the score at two.

Sammy tapped in his third goal of the night and he got his first career hat-trick. Congrats Mikael :D

After a solid second period, the Canucks had another opportunity to come back and win from behind in back to back games.
Eight minutes into the third, the Avs got penalized and it cost them their lead.
Christian Ehrhoff's point shot went in off of Alex Burrows's pants for the 4-4 tying goal.

    Blues 2 - 3 Canucks F - Game 53 - 01.27.10

Last night, The Canucks played their final game prior to the 2010 Olympics. In fact they won't play another game in GM place until March 13th, that is 44 long days away.
But on this night, they had to focus on the Blues. Ever since the 2009 playoffs, St. Louis had figured out a way to shut down the Sedins twins. Barret Jackman and Roman Polak literally leave no room for the Sedins to maneuver. With that being said, the rest of the team has to pick up the slack and cause most of the damage.
The Canucks got to a good start as the Sedin line poured the pressure on the Blues net. Ty Conklin was up to the task as he declined the Canucks from getting the opening goal. shortly after, Shane O'Brien got penalized for delay of game. on the pp, Keith Tkachuk scored to make it 1-0 for the Blues.
It didn't take long for the Canucks to respond as Ryan Kesler set up Mason Raymond for a easy tip in goal to tie the game at one.

Halfway into the first period, Sam Gagner took advantage of a weak line change as he shot the puck past Roberto Luongo for the 1-0 Oilers lead.
The hottest line in the NHL teamed up once again as Alex Burrows scored the tying goal late in the first period:

The Canucks did not stop there as they kept on pushing to extend their lead.
Christian Ehrhoff's shot on net resulted in a rebound which the puck landed on Steve Bernier's stick.
Bernier took his time and found the hole over Niemi's shoulder to give the Canucks a 3-0 lead.

Ryan Kesler had not forgotten the cheap shot that Andrew Ladd got in on him during last years playoffs. Tonight was payback time as the two went at it.

Early in the third period, Jonathan Toews scored to give the Hawks some hope.
On that very next shift, the Sedins put that hope to rest as Henrik scored the 4-1 goal.

Roberto Luongo was extremely sharp as he stopped 44 shots. His biggest save of the night came against Cam Barker where Luongo made a outstanding glove save.

The Stars continue to struggle on the road as they dropped their tenth straight to the Vancouver Canucks.
The game turned out to be a physical affair as both teams lost a couple of players in the process.
Former Canuck coach Marc Crawford gave the nod to Alex Auld to start the game despite having a healthy Marty Turco on the Bench.
Very much like the previous night, Mason Raymond was flying all over the ice and snapped his ten game goalless drought versus the Stars:

The Swedish Olympian Loui Eriksson scored the game tying goal late in the first period. The Stars did not sit back as Toby Petersen scored a shorthanded goal to put his team ahead 2-1. Alex Auld did a fantastic job on stopping any Canuck chances, but his stick handling skills let him down as he coughed up the puck to Alex Burrows for the 2-2 goal.

With the German media in town, Christian Ehrhoff puts on a show as he scores a beauty to put the Canucks ahead 3 to 2.

After a controversial week, The Canucks show up and blow out the Stanley Cup Champions 6 to 2.
It could have got far worse for the Penguins, but there was no need to run up the score with the entire country watching.
Marc-André Fleury and Brent Johnson were forced to sit this game out due to injuries.
John Curry started the game and was shortly pulled in the second period after giving up five goals.
Alexander Pechurski who is forth on the Penguins goalie depth chart took over and he put on a clinic. The 19 year old Russian only allowed one goal and earned himself the third star of the game.
That was pretty much the only positive note for the Penguins. Even Sidney Crosby was held off the score sheet thanks to Willie Mitchell's defensive play.
The rest of the night belonged to the Canucks as they Came back to take over the game in just a couple of minutes.
Henrik Sedin showed why he's NHLs leading scorer by banking the puck in off of John Curry to even the score at one:

After being trashed on National Television by Ron Maclean's biased journalism, Alex Burrows proved why he's one of the top players in the NHL. In no shape or form should Alex ever be compared to the likes of Avery, Downey and Cooke.
