  1. I too don't like people coming into this thread to put down console gaming. It's not what this thread is for. Obviously console and PC have their pros and cons, but this thread is for people with a PS4, or interested in it.

I mean, Sabre, you talk about how consoles don't have enough exclusives to make it "worth" it. Who's to say that? It's an individual's opinion if it's worth it to them. I play most of the PS exclusives and love them, so it's easily worth it to me. I'm not someone who's console-only either. I have a nice PC and play it a lot as well. I just can't get enough of games like Uncharted, God of War, etc etc etc though so I buy Playstations and enjoy them.

The PS Plus thing definitely sucks, though. I am not looking forward to having to pay that much, but for me the time won't come for awhile. I've already bought discounted 12 month codes and stacked them for 2 years.

Any good racing games for the PS4? I'm not looking to race online but just offline mode/story mode with friends and stuff

Need for Speed is pretty fun. There's a ton of customization on the appearance of your car, and a good amount within engine upgrades as well.

Although, it's an always online game. Even if all you do is play the story mode.

You could also try out DriveClub if you want. There's a PS Plus version.

  3. I really wish I could spot some kind of giant creature like the obviously scripted ones that were created just for the trailer. The huge dinosaurs, and the gigantic worm roaming through the sand. Damn, that would be cool.

But no, all you get are these smaller animals most of the time, where the majority look similar on each planet, and once in awhile you'll find something as big as maybe an elephant.

I have seen some cool looking rhino, tiger, etc stuff but other than that most of them are similar.

I think the farming as taken so much of my interest away from the game. I found a planet stocked full of Sak Venom. If you just mine it, then Sentinals come after you every time you grab one. But, if you upgrade your Boltcaster to wideshot, then you can one hit the Sak Venoms without getting attacked. So I did that for a couple of hours, made millions, and now I haven't touched the game in a couple of days.

I think I probably should have just not cared about the money and farming and just should have kept making my way through the Atlas story and eventually to the center.

  4. I haven't touched this game in weeks.......

But I think I might get back into it. Played a little bit tonight with some Incenses at home and caught a couple over 500cp. That's never happened before the update....usually my whole Incense brings in like 50cp crap.

Exploring Dragon Age Inquisition wasn't too fun though. Would have liked if it hadn't tried to model itself after Skyrim so hard (it just didn't do a very good job with it.) The thing it did best was dealing with character interaction, dialogue choices, and fleshing out scenes as such. Not quite Dragon Age Origins level in that respect, but it did feel like shades of Mass Effect 2 when it came to how personable that all felt. I say that as a very good thing.

Yeah, sometimes the exploration felt a little bland. They did have some beautiful landscapes, however.

I really hope ME: Andromeda or the next Dragon Age will turn the page and be a big step forward.

As $&!# as Dragon Age 2 was, and as $&!# of a developer Bioware had/(has?) become, Inquisition was a more than acceptable game.

Some of the worst combat I've ever seen in a game, but it looks like they legitimately tried to put effort into the whole endeavour (which was the major problem with their last few entries. They stopped giving a $&!#.)

Inquisition slows down towards the end, but it was one where I disagreed more so stylistically with the endeavour than the quality. The quality was good. Which I can respect far, far, far, far more than anything about Bioware's last few games.

People were right to recommend the game to me, and I'd pass that recommendation on, honestly. I was easily able to enjoy large parts of it.

Some of my favourite parts had to be finding and taking down those dragons.

I wish I wasn't so bored with games these days though. Like, I want to just go back and keep playing my save....exploring all the regions and whatnot. I'm done with it though. I basically had to force myself to beat the main story because nowadays with any game I play I just get bored after like 3 weeks. Besides the first week where I play the hell out of games, like anyone does.

  7. It's very difficult to review right now. There's just so much you can craft, etc etc. Once I get a new ship, upgrade it, and get the full worth of the game I can't really judge it much.

In the beginning, you have f all. You can't hold a ton of inventory, can't explore to the fullest, etc.

What? They're releasing more pokemon games for phone?

    No.

Sun/Moon are coming out for the 3DS.

By placeholder he probably means PGo will get a lot of people's hype up for when Sun/Moon come out in November.

I mean, handheld Pokemon games were probably somewhat falling out of favour these days, unless you're a big Pokemon fan. Pokemon Go is sure to have given many the idea to buy a 3DS and Sun/Moon when they come out. Or even maybe had people already buy X/Y or Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

I think it's made a bit of a comeback for the 15th anniversary. This game is targeted towards people who grew up watching the show, so...Me . Has a more mature storyline

Yeah, me too. I used to watch the show all the time....and went to the movie that was in theatres. Also had all those little Digimon walker things that you shake.

Picked up Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and I'm digging it so far. It kinda has a Persona vibe going on.

I actually heard that game was pretty good.

I never knew Digimon was still relevant, but I used to be really into it.

No Mans Sky comes out soon, probably will get it. Supposed to be a pretty sick game.

There's definitely going to be a ton of people buying it, including myself. It will be an interesting game, that's for sure. The new releases as far as I can recall lately have been pretty bland. NMS will change that.

I hope it doesn't crumble under the hype it's been receiving.

    Need a new game.

Can someone recommend one? I've kinda looked, but I dunno, nothing really sticks out screaming "get me!"

Did you settle on a game after nobody answered your question?

Which do you have? Which don't you want?

Hello, can someone please build me a 700% gaming pc that can play Ark: Evolved at high to epic settings... well it doesnt have to be epic but high settings at 50-60 fps would be great.

PM me for the parts pls thx.

    I'd recommend going to Reddit.com/r/buildapc

There's a ton of great PC heads over there that know what they're doing.

So I found out that turning off the AR function greatly reduces the number of crashes on my phone. It still crashes occasionally and the game drains the life out of my battery at lightning speed but the game's playable for me now, I was able to catch a good number of Pokemon today.

Also saw a couple of families playing together at a Pokestop today which was kinda sweet to see. Plus its way better for the kids when the parents get involved and are able to monitor them when they play. Still waiting to have an actual conversation with someone at a lure though, most people seem too absorbed in the game, some just stay in their cars to catch Pokemon. I always thought it'd be a cool way to meet people with common interests but maybe not.

I've had AR off since day one. It's just way easier to aim at Pokemon while throwing the balls, it drains less battery, makes you crash less, etc etc. It's just simply better.

I've only been able to sign in once.

Was going to take over a gym by my work after my shift today, but despite being right beside the gym it said I was too far away. Tried re-opening the app and then couldn't connect to the servers...

I went to Grouse to do the grind today, and tried looking for Pokemon as I was hiking up. My game showed nothing on the map....and I kept thinking damn that kind of sucks there's nothing up here.

Then I get signed out and log back in....and there's PokeStops and gyms all the way up the trail, and a lot of them at the top. I missed out.

Reached level 9, used a lucky egg, and got to level 11 by the end of it! They work wonders, almost at level 12.

Had a CP357 Tauros run on me last night, soooo disappointed.

Yeah. Basically catch as many &^@#ing Pidgey's as you can, turn on the Lucky Egg.....and evolve away.

I'm having the same issue with Squirtle

I picked Squirtle as well. I've only ran into another one once, and it was like 4 days ago......and my game froze during battle.

  17. I'm jealous of people who live in a big apartment building that has a PokeStop in it. Everybody in the building within range of a PokeStop while sitting at home....everybody able to set lures on it.

One of my buddies lives in an apartment downtown that has a PokeStop. Needless to say he's having an easy time leveling up and catching stuff.

Sit at a spot where there is a triple lure, you can pop an incense and they will come to you. I suggest you save up a bunch of pidgys so you can mass evolve while you have a lucky egg popped. The goal is to level up as quick as possible so the pokemons you encounter are higher CP.

Yeah. From all the tips I've read on the Reddit Pokemon Go section, you basically just don't level any Pokemon up or bother with them until you're Lvl 20-25. There's no point because you'll likely find a higher CP version of one that you've been upgrading. Basically just focus on gaining levels by catching and evolving things, then discarding for more candies to evolve more.
