Salary doesn't factor into actual on ice performance, Myers is a better player on ice than Juulsen and it's not even remotely debatable. They play on ice, not a calculator.

Lol you said it isn't even remotely true that juulsen brings a better value but then ignore very obvious tangibles that would suggest otherwise and then on top of that follow through saying anyone that doesn’t agree with your very shallow minded theory knows nothing about the game of hockey, just seems like a very condescending flex on your behalf

That is still not even remotely true though and anyone with any knowledge of the game knows that...

that Myers is 6x better than juulsen? Well if that’s the case guess I know nothing about hockey orrrrr maybe just maybe you dont understand caphit to production value… pretty sure Myers is worth roughly 3-4 million which gives him a value of -2.5 let’s say…. Juulsen contract is 775,000 his value is probably pushing 900,000 which would give him a plus value of +125,000, not a big analytics guy but when it comes to depth I agree with managing your cap space based on value after your super stars are locked up, I am not okay with paying someone big bucks because they are tall and can poke check out of the mistake they put themselves in to begin with

Alfred, how in your right mind/empties can you even say Woo is a better option at this point in time? That’s absurd and you know it. He hasn’t even spent a second in the big show yet. Hope he makes it there sometime this season, but claiming that he’s better than Myers right now is a busteroo opinion.

I think he’s saying Myers at his cap brings less Value than those other guys at there cap hits and I do agree we have better options in our system maybe not Woo but juulsen 100% take him at more than 5 million less

Columbus looks to be the best trading partner for us.

If they can work out a Garland for Peeke trade it makes sense for both sides.

Still need a top 4 but at least it gives us more depth on the right side.

    Hughes Hronek

    Cole Peeke

    Soucy Myers

That 6 is very competent, tho I am very confident one of our ahl dmen are ready to take the step and be full timers on the big club, pulling in assets that could set us up for moves in the near future when we have a better understanding of our roster needs is what I would ideally like to see

  5. Damn oilers are desperate, I like taking the route of finding a kid that’s coming into his own maybe a tad late bloomer opposed to has beens in their mid 30s…that depth backend and goaltending can’t even be saved by all that fire power on top 2 lines and I couldn’t be happier about it

Hasn't DeAngelo had something like 5 chances already though?

He has been suspended once in the nhl at age 21 for abuse to an official after an official was holding onto him long after a scrum and he pushed the officials arms downwards, he also was under scrutiny because of his emotional comments after a loss ran high with georgiev that ultimately lead to them getting in a fist fight so yes he’s had a couple questionable character issues but ultimately the way new teammates spoke of him seems like he’s not a bad apple or anything, I’m rooting for him to have a successful and long problem free career going forward and hope people can forgive his teenage years and allow him to grow

Yes, people that do deplorable stuff end up getting defended, however cancel culture is indeed today's scourge.

We have reached a point where people that make mistakes are never given a true chance to apologize, nobody is redeemable. I find the whole cancel culture truly deplorable on the whole. If Tony apologized for what he said, then it's time to drop it and move on.

Having said all that, I wouldn't want Tony on the Canucks because we need better leadership then what he can seemingly provide. Give me the Schenn and Foligno brothers instead.

Thank you, the ignorance on here refusing to acknowledge I was arguing second chances and not racist remarks, I can completely cope with someone not wanting the player over their abilities but not over a one time mistake they made when they were 17 that they publicly apologized for… maybe he hasn’t changed but all signs have pointed to him changing his character

Defends racist, calls people snowflakes. Guys I found one of Kid Rocks last fans. Probably a new Jason Aldean fan too

    Defends racists…. Go on

literally explained how he’s not racist yet your superiority complex just gets in the way of your ability to accept facts, the most uneducated people are those that have condescending personality’s and you sir fit that mold just perfect congrats.

"I was racist before, but I promise I'm not now"

If that’s what you got out of that either 1. You have a very low reading comprehension or 2. You are deliberately twisting his words to make him look bad either way bad take -1 for you on the stat sheet

  10. "I’m absolutely not racist at all. There was something I said back in junior; people don’t know what it is. I’m not going to go into it," he said. "But it was something I regretted. A friend of mine on my team, we had an argument, and we remained friends. The other stories that have come out are totally false, and I think that’s why teams in this league have known that."

for those of you calling him racist… I think judging a persons character from when they were a teenager and possibly didn’t know any better from the atmosphere they grew with, only way to let people grow is forgiving them for there faults and allowing them to prove they have become a better person and he’s done exactly that. I think the judgemental crowd that doesn’t allow one’s past to be forgiven is what’s wrong with society right now…. Anyways I’d welcome Tony D personally on a low cap low term deal if we are planning on moving out Myers
