Is there? We have a rookie 30 goal scorer on our team and no one gives a $&!#. Sure it's nice to have but these moral victories aren't doing anything for the fans. I want a cup. You want a cup. Everyone wants a cup. If EP is ready that's one thing if hes rushed to the show for the purpose of filling seats we need to clean house from the top top. Like ownership top.

30 goal rookie...I’m thinking more like 40 And going to be 50 sophomore with Elias feeding him

Im not discounting his impressive SHL #'s just hyping him to recreate that in the NHL on a smaller surface with faster and much larger opponents is no easy task at all

Next year he is a year older a year stonger a year smarter, he’s going to do just fine adapting to the smaller ice. He’s such a heads up player To. the guys with high IQ are the ones that find a way to adapt

  3. I dont know if it was me just cheering my ass off for lind when whl played Russia but I thought he was whls best player in the first game and had a strong second game to go with it comes back from being sick and proves he’s fine with a goal and an Apple, every situation he’s been put in he’s making things happen for himself and coaches take notice of that

gadjovich being a lock on makenzies eyes is pretty sweet tho!!!

Except that Gaudette is more a goal-scorer, less a cheap-shotter, and can skate and play center.

Tkachuk gets under his opponents skin and can play a top 6 roll, as annoying as he is I envy his game. Burrows did it for us for years both guys have potential to be that player for their respective clubs is what I’m getting at

Well Vanek is hands down better then Gaudette or Goldy this year, and probably will be better then them for the next year or two.  I'm not suggesting keeping him, I'd love to sell him for draft picks at the deadline.

I'm strangely more excited to see Gaudette then even Elias.  Canucks haven't had a gritty young player come through the system in eons.

I feel like he will be our tkachuk and the 2 of them are going to help bring back that exciting vancouver Calgary rivalry well edm rebuilds for the next 10 years

I am sure that SID can answer this better than I can but I will give it a try. Pettersson;s last home game for the season is going to be March 10th and then they will have their playoffs. Given the strong performance from the Vaxjo team they may be in the playoffs for some time. The Canucks regular season ends in early April so I doubt there would be much time available for Pettersson to get over here at the end of the year.....unfortunately.

Better chance we may get to see Gaudette end of March and even then depending on how healthy this team is and if we sell at deadline? Are we in the playoff picture?

Would love pettersson to get the experience of playing with the twins before they retire in all honesty tho

Jonah back in the lineup tonight! Stay tuned points to follow ;)! That didn’t take long Jonah pots 2 goals in a 2 minute span in the first period! He’s back boys!

Putting himself in a position to be looked at for team Canada I hope?

and it's a win win situation, if we make the playoffs nice, but if not then we can potentially add Dahlin to our prospect pool B)

there are a few d I would love to see us aquire out of this draft dahlin would be sick but I got no faith in us winning a draft lottery but I do have faith in benning wherever he selects

  9. The prospect "some" people would have traded for a bag of pucks is starting to raise eyebrows I'm loving this, as much as I would love to see him part of the team this year I feel like first line mins in Utica is best for him. He plays amazing with confidence and would hate to see him lose that over a hunch that he's ready . In my eyes I see archi and boes coming out of pre season with jobs

Haha solid response. Wellwood had unreal hands, it's too bad he didn't ever truly dedicate himself to the sport

Agreed the guy had loads of potential it's sad seeing guys lose there career to choosing party over fitness. On virtanen I'm pretty sure most guys on this site can agree they didn't mentally mature till after the age of 21. He may of been an early bloomer physically but mentally he is still growing as a person. Boys will be boys and I have faith to see him turn into a man sooner than later. I feel last year was a wake up call for him and he's gunna come back this season with vengeance on making the big club. Would love to see him turn into our Corey perry.

  11. Agree above watching the ducks momentum swings often change from huge hits by guys like Ritchie and getzlaf jake can be a momentum guy for us that has the ability to be a playoff kind of guy physically wearing out defence and chipping in here and there on the score sheet I would like to see him play right on the line again with those questionable hits because every team has a guy like that

After the JV to Goldobin goal, Green juggled the line a bit more to get that combo out there more often later in the game.

I still don't understand why Jake is often stapled to Cassels...

I don't mind it, cassels is responsible defensively and putting jake out there with him is only going to help that mind set. When green is saying jv is making big improvements obviously he is starting to develope a strong game away from the puck clearly not putting up points

  13. hes not a rookie but he's definitely nowhere close to being a vet. He almost seems intimidated at times, he would fair well with a player on his line who was clearing space. A 3rd line of Baerstchi Sutter Dorsett I think would be worth a shot.

    Sedin Sedin Hansen

    Burrows Horvat Vrbata

    Baertschi Sutter Dorsett

    Higgins McCann Virtanen

pretty spread out across all 4 lines too.

i would like to see horvat and baer get another shot together, there chemistry in the pre season looked very promising and if they can figure things out there both solid candidates to become a solid future 2nd line. maybe swap baer and burrows places there and then u got sutter and burrows on the ice against top lines that's a comforting thought as well. and he just played his 82 nhl game its pretty safe to say he may not be a rookie on paper but hes a rookie in the room and the ice. still high hopes to see the kid break out!

  14. If you put it that way I don't no if any team has a legit top 6, booth was a legit top line before being traded to Vancouver now he's considered a 3rd liner , and burrows is on pace for what 10 points but we consider him a legit top 6, I don't think you can say a top 6 player needs this many points sometimes you need that defensive player on that line so your stars can take more risks and your there to cover for them when they make an oops so my opinion I think Higgins is a legit top 6 and he means more to this club than he is given credit for

  15. Burrows = <3 of Canucks

He's in a scoring slump and had a couple injurys. There is not many players like burrows in the nhl I'd rather keep him and find his game than search for a replacement that more than likley we won't find. He will bring it when playoffs come just relax this team is showing glimpses of swagger that they had in 2011 and they need burrows there if they want to go deep
