  1. Trolling really isn't going to win you many brownie points. Believing in something like evolution which has been ridiculously studied for many decades involving many different fields is a little different than believing in the afterlife because of an internet article. Evolution is so woven within the fabrics of biology, palaeontology, geology, etc. etc. that disproving it now would net the scientist the next kajillion Nobel prizes (hyperbole, of course). Even taking a site such as: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/ and going over just the 29 "evidences" they describe is extensive in itself, but then compare that to the millions of evidences and facts out there that make up the overlying theory and it's pretty safe to claim that evolution is true. Certainly isn't crazy to say that it is. At this point, evolution will most likely never be proven wrong...only molded and shaped. As with all strong scientific theories, it only gets stronger with every dig, find, and genetic mapping. Don't need to excuse anyone from using science as an anchor, especially for some of the strongest theories like evolution.
  2. He's a great skater, basically never causes him problems. Unfortunately, some people couldn't notice talent if it smacked them in the face. His skating is choppier than the norm, so it throws some people for a loop.
  3. Some people have zero perceptional skills. How often does Garrison get beat because of his skating? It's a rarity at best.
  4. He's also a far inferior player.
  5. The damage that shot could inflict over a 7 game series could be huge. Blocking shots is always key in the playoffs but after blocking a couple of garrison's, it'll have the opposition thinking twice about plugging up the lanes.
  6. Now only if someone could provide a proper screen.
  7. He's been playing like this since early/mid February.
  8. Other welterweights are going to take note of this fight. Scramble on the ground, give up your back if you have to and stand back up. GSP doesn't go for submissions and doesn't have knockout power so there isn't much to worry about. You could get up quicker and not lose rounds getting stuck on your back.
  9. One of his better games so far this season. 5 shots, 1 goal. Earns himself the 2nd star of the game.
  10. People actually want to bench him, a guy who's had some of the best defensive stats in the league the last two years, a guy who has had 2-3 bad defensive games total so far, for Alberts or Barker. Try figuring that out.
  11. Yup. He's had a tough game but this hasn't been the norm this season.
  12. Garrison's primary function is as an elite defensive defenseman. For that, he has met my expectations in spades. Ever since the 2nd/3rd game of the season, he has been a defensive rock. I have not noticed any "getting better" or "starting to look better", he's been great defensively for a while. Nice to see him pick up his 2nd goal, he should get a little more pp time now that Bieksa may be out. Not surprised at all to see he's +6
  13. He's been giving us elite level defense. I'll be satisfied with that for a while until his offensive game picks up. Hopefully he's put back into a scenario where he can actually succeed offensively because it looks like they're putting him in a pure defensive role right now. Has a GA/60 of 1.24, which is awesome. Has a GF/60 of 3.11, so while he isn't getting points, the team's scoring well while he's out there. Sure, he could put up some more points and the Canucks will need that eventually, but he isn't even close to a problem right now. He's been exactly as advertised defensively (stud), needs to pick it up offensively.
  14. In terms of Goals against per 60 minutes: Ballard is 2nd in the league with 0.40 GA/60 Tanev is 3rd in the league with 0.42 GA/60 Garrison is T-13th in the league with 1.27 GA/60 Other Canucks d-men: Bieksa 1.64 Edler 1.64 Hamhuis 2.09 Garrison is #1 out of Canucks d-men in +/- per 60 minutes (goals for - goals against).
  15. Just change the setting to "allow more walking". It's near the bottom of the trip planner page.

  17. The buses need some g'damn air conditioning. Taking the 41 to UBC was absolutely brutal today. I'll be driving most of the way to UBC (and parking at point grey!) as long as it's warm outside.
  18. flab and cardio are two different things is what he's saying. Plenty of fat guys out there that are well conditioned.
  19. GSP could coast 5 rounds of taking Silva down for an easy victory, it'd probably be a really boring fight.
  20. Apparently, throwing wild useless punches that rarely land earns mega points!! Nam shot himself in the foot with his inactivity though.
  21. It's a mod conspiracy. Too big? plz

  22. Lesnar was protecting himself the entire time. I think a lot of people on CDC forgot that Lesnar has an iron chin as well, he can survive a barrage by the hardest puncher in the game. Wow, what a fight.
  23. Rashad is turning this into a snooze fest.
