I wasn’t trying to make an excuse. I also have other guys who are injured. Way she goes! Well deserved win. I think I’m just frustrated, because I wanted to win the prez trophy.

Speaking of which... all my players are sitting out the last few games! I’ll be lucky to win this week. Booooo!

My thinking exactly. Just when I had a season title to win.

My season officially ended when we dropped Pietrangelo?

I know? Who else thought it would be a good idea, everybody right...:picard:

He was supposed to be injured 2 months, and his team was out of it. It seemed like the only way to stay in the play off race. But 3 weeks later, there he was!

Can't totally sell yourself short man. I haven't been that nervous since I was hired. Literally the bitter end.

Tight as a monkeys butt! :frantic:

Picking up Mrazek on waivers just before the deadline, crosses fingers, already won us one series. Another win worth 3 points tonight. He has us in another series we had no business being in. And we need to run the table just to make the post season...

Currently a point in it, in our series with Mikey Boy & Nashville.

Haha wouldn't be so close if Bishop wasn't made of glass!

I personally enjoy setting your playoff roster at the deadline. The dynamic of trying to trade guys you plan to drop, or having to predict who will make the playoffs or even having to make sure you have a good enough roster to make the playoffs before buying playoff players should make for some very good and very bad decisions. I love that.

Plus it’s less work to follow your team that way. I think the casual GM’ing BFHL brings is a welcome break on CDC fantasy leagues.

With a schedule as chaotic as mine I agree with Arty on this one.

    Shower thought here:

Is it possible to make a contract "expansion proof"?

Let's say the Canucks want to protect Demko and are planning on extending Markstrom after the 2019-2020 season. Is it possible to sign to him a contract that will pay most of his salary the year after the expansion?

For example, the Canucks sign Markstrom to a 2 year, $13m contract. Could they structure it in a way that Markstrom would make $1m in year one, then $12m in year 2? Reason being, if Seattle did want to take him, they'd be essentially paying Markstrom $12m per season.

Obviously these numbers aren't accurate, and I'm not saying this would be a good move. Just wondering if this theory is possible and could work with other players reaching UFA/RFA after next season.

Thinking outside the box, I like it.
