Would be great if they ever brought back Jim Hughson and Don Taylor. They were bar none the best commentator duo the EA franchise has ever had. I am not the biggest fan of Doc Emrick. Ray is alright but he always makes my team sound worse than they are. Little ball of hate he is.

Cap issues, it's hard to make trades now as well as they are not taking on any contracts.  Might be worth it to try a franchise with the cap turned off, as there is way too much turnover.  I don't like seeing franchise staples like Ovi on other teams.

My issue is playmaker centers are scoring all the goals.  If my top line is LW(SNP) C(PLY) RW(SNP) the stats play out like LW (7g 33a) C (33g 7a) RW(7g 33a) and that really irks me.  I've tried swapping positions and changing the team strategy but to no avail.

EA Logic: Obviously the sniper snipes the pass to the playmaker where he makes the play into the back of net.

    Tanking already??

Both Nugent-Hopkins and Ekblad with zeros across the board and Boeser with a -7 rating, Not a good look, Art :P

My team is dominating in terms of point production but lacking in PIMs... can't tell whether that's a good thing or a bad thing

Meanwhile, @MikeyBoy44's team is killing it with the PIMs, courtesy of Brad "Rat" Marchand... <_<

I don’t use the app. I use the website with a web browser (chrome - iPhone), no issues what’s so ever. @iFinnster was having troubles navigating the app, when putting players on IR and picking a new player up. Maybe try using the website with a browser instead.

Odd I tried to use chrome on my samsung and it told me to get app. I'll keep at it thanks art :)

  5. So I'm reading alot on Nintendo bringing in an updated console. I am however having a hard time finding out if they are going to end up doing to the new like they did with the 3ds upgrade and having games that will only play on the new one. I pretty much ended up ditching the 3ds because of the new 3ds exclusive games idea and really hate the idea that they'll do the same with the new updated switch.

  6. Good thing "BC" doesn't care about money...

How much has the City of Vancouver spent on fighting controversial pipeline?

Since 2014, Vancouver has been involved in several court cases and hearings to fight the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

It cost taxpayers $343,000 — the cost is likely higher, as Vancouver is only counting external legal fees.

The city pulled money from different sources, including property taxes, utility and parking metre revenue.

By contrast, the city of Burnaby was involved in 10 cases at a cost of $1.2 million.

Over the years, Trans Mountain won 24 straight court challenges before losing last month when the Federal Court of Appeal overturned the Trudeau government’s approval of the pipeline expansion.

These Photos of Typhoon Trami Are Jaw-Dropping

Haters gonna say it's fake. (It's not)

Look, I’m as sick of typhoons and hurricanes menacing humanity as you are. They’re planetary bullies and they suck. But I can take a begrudging moment to appreciate how they look from space.

The latest storm to give me pause is Super Typhoon Trami—currently churning in the West Pacific—and images courtesy of astronaut Alex Gerst. The images, snapped from the lofty perch of the International Space Station, show crisp white clouds against a deep blue ocean, the symmetry of the eye, and the swirl of clouds within the eye itself like a world within a world.

In a Facebook post, Gerst quipped that it looks like “somebody pulled the planet’s gigantic plug.”

    jsaisjygy0f5q45hxsxy.jpg A look inside Trami’s eye.

Trami is the most powerful storm on the face of the planet right now. On Tuesday morning, it was packing sustained winds of 149 mph and gusts up to 184 mph. That’s down a bit from its 160-mph peak on Monday and there are signs the typhoon may have weakened a bit more, but don’t let that or its gorgeous appearance fool you.

Trami still poses a threat to Japan’s southern islands later this week as it begins it turn northward. The storm could even reach Honshu, Japan’s most populous island, early next week. In terms of destructiveness it’s unlikely to rival Mangkhut, which rocked the Philippines and Hong Kong last week, but it’s also not what disaster-weary Japan needs after a year of torrential rains.

The Western Pacific is the most active tropical cyclone basin in the world, but this year has been particularly rough. There have been more major storms than usual and accumulated cyclone energy—a metric that uses wind from all cyclones in a basin and adds them up over time—is also higher than the norm. Research published in 2016shows that landfalling storms in Asia have become 12-15 percent more intense since 1970, likely driven by warmer oceans.

So while it’s easy to admire these stunning beasts over the ocean, let’s not forget they’re often still beastly at landfall. And even when they’re not at their peak, they can still cause major damage.

  8. Hello,

I've recently taken control of the newly dubbed Gentelmens Club. I look forward to hanging out as I try my hand at this style of league. My keeper list will be as follows.

    Brad Marchand

    Claude Giroux

    Aleksander Barkov

    Clayton Keller

    Max Pacioretty

    Mike Hoffman

    Keith Yandle

    Pekka Rinne

It was mostly easy to make this with a couple of if's.

Sure. But unless you practice what you preach and ride bikes as much as possible, use cars only on road trips and such, your opposition to the pipeline, at THIS JUNCTURE, translates simply to poorer people than you getting shafted in the name of climate change, but you yourself will not sacrifice your own guzzling of oil. There is a word for that: imperialism.

Still counter productive. Tires are made using crude oil. Have to build wheels out of wood using rocks as chisels.
