Alvin and the chipmunks….As you see, there are chipmunk girls.
The AGMs are women. It must suck moping through life thinking everyone is so damn awful and offensive all the time.
Doesn't affect me at all but I don't think women should be obliged to defend themselves constantly from put downs and gender based negative comments.
I sure hope none of you "we can't say anything anymore" folks don't work somewhere with an HR department. I run a company and if I referred even jokingly to female members of senior management as "chipmunk girls" even in jest I can guarantee I would be hearing about it.- 3

I would much rather they be working on meaningful trades than attending a crappy meet and greet.
I would imagine they are smart enough to know that hollow words are pointless. We need to see action.

You don’t refer to women as “girls”. The context makes it much worse.

Was about to make the same comment. Gross to see that on these boards.

Tank hard for Bedard. At this point, winning's doing more harm than good. It's sad...was a good game until it wasn't. We need a high pick this draft so I'm just along for the ride at this point. "It is what it is". Still love my team, will go and cheer them on but at this point it's hard to defend a drive for playoffs. In my heart, yes...I still hope for that but reality is we're in the same boat as last year and would need a miracle to pull it off.
I will say one thing...what you don't see on tv is that the Islanders frustrated our team with a whole lot of holding...they do this hook on with one arm deal that really held our guys up at times. It was effective but infuriating. JT's slash was likely in response to some of that. Sutherland still can't call a game to save his life. But in the playoffs, it's a battle out there and that stuff wouldn't be called anyway...so you have to be able to contend with it and still find a way.
It's just not clicking. Petey was a little off last night...likely the frustration setting in. The shot block differential really came in to play...Islanders played a gritty in your face game and, despite getting away with a lot of garbage stuff, it worked. Which is why I like JT...behind the play, he's battling back in that same in your face way. I agree with what Dan Riccio said....sometimes what people see as a lazy glide off the ice is him depleted/conserving some energy because he does engage in those battles. And that goal that he and Bo clicked on again...that stuff's magic. They have a good thing going there and I will hate to see Bo go. But I'm at the point that something's gotta give. Whatever will be will be. I will still cheer my team on every game but if/when they lose it's for a greater good. We need help on d...badly. I've been patient with this group but am open to anything...I don't want Petey wanting out. That would be disastrous.
If this team fires all on the same cylinder, we can win. But, on any given night, they aren't and that's a problem.
Once Deb has hit her limit on believing in this team, you know they have messed up HARD.
I feel exactly the same way.

Never quite understand it when fans boo something that has undergone video review. Like surely they have better views of it than you do in the nosebleeds lol.

If they really did offer him $7 million x 7 or 8 years and he turned it down, it makes a lot more sense to me why they signed Miller.
They made it clear they wanted to keep at least one of the two.
They have a much better idea than we do of what the agents are asking for. Miller’s side probably required less movement on the part of the Canucks.
All speculation.

I vote for ratcheting up the chaos. 10-9 Canucks.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.

Went to bed when it was 4-0, since it was almost midnight here in Ontario. Hope I didn't miss anything.

Should have retired his jersey. Hockey Hall of Fame is somehow not enough to earn him that honour with our team, where he played the most meaningful games of his career. A terrible decision.
Ottawa is retiring the jersey of Chris Neil for gods sake.

The guy worked his whole life to get into the NHL and you guys are just making pun after pun and laughing about it when he gets waived.
You should feel ashamed of yourselves.
I feel badly for the pour guy.

It's a great thing this game starts at 7:30pm. I may brace the cold and go to the grocery store!
Not so great for me here in Ontario! Haha I might have to listen to it on the radio in bed.

Dadonov or Drouin would have to go the other way for cap purposes.
Roy - 5th round
Kidney- 2nd round
I mean, if they are really willing to give up a kidney, you've got to at least give that some thought. Should be able to sell that on the black market.

Am I the only one who thinks Todd McLellan looks like Andy Serkis, or is that something people have noted before?

We wanted AV fired?
I thought we wanted a rebuild
I take it you weren't around back then?
The team spent years after AV's final time with the team saying that they wanted the team to play a more exciting style of hockey and for multiple coach hires they said that the main goal was to play that style. Fans had expressed frustration with the boring defensive style.
My point is that many years later, that is at the philosophical root of how this team was built, and it really doesn't work. -
Remember when everyone wanted fire AV so we could have a team that played a more uptempo offensive brand of hockey?
That wish has been granted. This is what that looks like.

Claim the guy for the name alone. If we are going to tank for Bedard, we should endeavour to do it with an many memorable names on our roster as possible.

different situation tho, that was his first team, had a big nice house, etc. Here he's stepped into a situation that may have turned out to not be great for him or what he thought it would be.
Certainly possible. Crazier things have happened.
(Rumour) Nux have given permission for Boeser’s agent to talk to other teams

I think you will find we gave up a first to dump several contracts, including Loui Eriksson. Taking OEL was part of that deal.
Not saying it panned out as the right thing to do, but please don't pretend he was the key to that deal. Dumping other players was the intent.
