Watching it live, it felt like the old days of playing Pavel Bure on NHL 94. Basically cheat mode. Swoop in and score every single time. A thing of beauty.

I feel like the real audience for all of this talk by Rutherford is ownership. He probably feels like they need to make changes like firing the coaching staff, buying out OEL and burying some contracts but probably is getting resistance to ponying up the cash to do so.
So he will keep on saying this in order to have his "I told you so" moment once ownership realizes there will be a price to be paid for fixing the mistakes of the previous regime.

Must be very easy for other teams to get themselves fired up for the third period, knowing our history this season.
Seems like they all get a huge burst of energy.

There have been some negative comments on him but I have been very pleased to see how Brisebois has seized this opportunity. He has looked like an NHLer and played with some confidence.

Unless you work for the management, you, nor anybody here, should have any reason to take offence from a post like this, especially when I didn't even call out anybody specific. Believe me, there's tons of room in this world for people to be empathetic toward one another and be mindful of invalidating feelings, but this is not one of them.I am curious what your theory is as to why your post took all the abuse when 11 other posters within the first two pages criticized the move and did not get any such response?

Out of interest I looked over the first two pages of this thread. There were a total of 12 posts that I would say were negative toward this trade. And yet only one or two got all the reactions from the posters you are complaining about. How could that be?
A self-reflective person might draw some conclusions about their own communication skills rather than complaining that they were being silenced.
