Wind chill is a great way to exaggerate the cold. Also it's not very accurate and misleading. One area could be -10º added due to wind chill while another area might only be -2 or 3º. Oh and if the wind chill is really bothering you...don't stand in the wind.

I don't think he's you have to salt your sidewalk but you need to clear it of any snow and if there is ice/hard snow you need to deal with that as well. Salt is an easy solution, you could also use sand for traction. There seems to be this thought that everyone should give up cars and use transit and or bikes to get around. Many people, including myself, need to drive a car for work, what do you suggest I do? Umm no not really, it was agreed by all parties when he signed with them this year that he could leave if it wasn't the right fit. That's not insubordination, but I'll give you a B+ for trying so hard while using a 'big' word.

We did go to Versailles and it was just as easy.... We have also travelled from Holland and will be heading to Germant tomorrow....this has also been great. Not only is the transit much better here but the food as well, from price of food and drinks to service and atmosphere all better.....if I could live out here I would!!

I`m in Paris and again the transit system here is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Very easy to use, cheap and an awesome design. Why didnt Vancouver use the same system they use here? Fare gates are the greatest thing ever well unless you dont know how to get your luggage thru LOL oops! Cheers everyone

I was in Amsterdam the last few days and the transit system there blew my mind, they have high speed trains, buses, trams, subway and bike lanes to get to every part of the city. It was very easy to figure out and cheap. Europe is a million years ahead of NA when it comes to transit. Oh another cool thing, on the trams there is a booth right on the tram with a transit agent, checking each ticket ( or you can scan on and off with a card), no need to transit police etc.....plus it's impossible to evade the fare, they have eveyone getting on go thru certain doors to pass this agent and everyone getting off goes thru other doors. Just amazing. I'll post pictures when i get back in a few weeks!

So last night me and my buddy caught the train at Lansdowne at around 7 pm, we then heard announcement stating that the train would be going out of service and we would all have to get off. We stop at the bridgeport station and we are told to get off. A few minutes later another announcement (not very clear or loud at all), the next will be out of service as well, do not board. The train showed up full of people who were told to get off and no one was allowed on even tho a bunch of people tried since they didn't here the announcement... Finally another train came and we made our way to waterfront. Pretty lame, terrible service if this continues to happen all of the time. Anyone know why they are doing this?

Yeah that's what I mean, there are only 2 ticket vending machines at Lansdowne...... Also there should be a big map on the wall because there was no information about the line until you buy a ticket and go into the paid fare zone. We got off at Vancouver City Centre there were only 3 ticket vending machines and two were out of service at the time (on the way back only one was out of service)

Silva vs Forest fight fixed? WTF - some of you just blow my mind. Forest got rocked 3 times not just once don't forget. Forest wasn't holding back on any of his punches he was trying to KO Silva, but Silva is just that much better.
