  1. Hope now everyone sees the true color of this LA Gong-shows.

Nolan taking a run at our captain, as he always does, and then turtle when Sestito challenged him? What an hounorable player, you sh*thead. whatever happened to your "code" and "manning up"? That's right, you have neither. And what's the basis of game misconduct penalty for Sestito? The refs are either smoking weeds or bribed.

This should be a Coach's Corner material.

  2. Keys to the game:

Kings must be licking their chops, thinking Canucks coming to town is just what the doctor ordered for them -- a slump buster -- as LA is having their own problems. The game a week ago turned out to be exactly that, mostly by Canucks' own undoing. Now Kings are confident they have Canucks' number and can beat us anytime anywhere. The only way Canucks give themselves the best chance to win is returning the whatever physical favor the Kings deliver with our own. Win or lose, that's the only way to send them a message that we won't be as easy to play against as they may think.

    1. Stay away from the boards when moving the puck as much as possible, in our own and neutral zone.

Kings rarely lose puck battles along the boards and also very good at cutting off passes along the wall. You need to have a defenceman or a forward ready, away from the board, to take the pass and either skate out with it or find an open teammate. That's how Chicago beat LA in the last playoffs. Yeah I know darn too well -- we are not Chicago and we don't have puck moving defencemen they have. But still, 8 out of 10 times I see Nucks try to squeak the puck along the boards in their own zone where Kings are already waiting to cut it off, and that's so frustrating to watch. And we all know how hard it is to get Kings off of the puck, once they have it in the o-zone.

    2. If they slap you, don't turn the other cheek. Slap them back, make them turn the other cheek and slap again.

    Self Explanatory.

    3. Crash the crease and if they hit you, be sure to fall on Jonathan Quick.

    Self Explanatory also.

    GO CANUCKS GO!

  3. This game has the intensity level of a pee wee hockey

Not true...those little guys give everything they have playing for the love of the fame and really put on a good show. hockey in its purest form.

You're totally right. Sorry I didn't mean to insult them.

  4. No, that doesn't mean or imply the cup is ours. I think sometimes people overlook when we beat a top team when no one believed we could.

I'm with you on the West to a large degree. But it's clear Anaheim and LA are the biggest obstacles. Based on where we've been with the Sharks, Blues, Hawks, we can beat those teams. And I even believe we can beat the Pens.

But as far as getting past the Ducks and LA, that's where I see the problem. The Blues, I think we can beat there guys ... and we have.

We can but we won't, not with the beer league mentality and physicality we are showing on the ice.

  5. "The Blues are the team I'd love the Canucks to draw in the playoffs. Match up well against them and are a pretty equal team when healthy. They'd be a team the Canucks would have a pretty good chance to upset."

Are you serious? I don't we can compete in West period...Blues are well balanced with 4 good lines, big hitting team, and the best defense core in the league

The only team we can match up well against in the playoffs is a Leastern conference team.
