    apparently right now our fourth liners should get all the praise. Which is worrisome, good, but scary thought nonetheless

    The irony is, it's all relative. Our 4th line is not doing anything exceptionally well other than they are doing "what they are supposed to do" -- sending the puck deep into the other team's zone while not getting hemmed in our own -- with their limited ice time. That's hardly a job deserving a praise but it only stands out because of the other three lines' inability to do what they are supposed to do.

    Scary indeed.

    We have too many good 3rd liners advertised as top 6 forwards.

    We have too many one-dimensional blue liners pretending to do more.

    Fighting and collecting PM alone doesn't make a team tough to play against -- you also have to be able to score when needed to win at least some of those tough games. Will you take a team who always talk about playing tough but can't score a goal to save their lives seriously?

    Yeah, me neither.

    Nux have much better goaltending than Phx. That alone will get them at least one of the final 2 spots.

    ... And then what? Getting swept again out of PO in the first round, after scoring 3 goals in total? Do you really think this team can survive more than 4 games against ANA, CHI, LA or SJ?

    Unless Lu stands on his head and shut the door on the other team in every game, we do NOT stand a chance. Our forwards can't hit the open net and our defence is too soft and in a fire drill too often for a $20-million paycheck combined.

    If the Canucks had the assets or the balls to make trades like LA did for Richards and Carter then maybe we could be like the 2012 Kings but I really don't see Gillis pulling that off.

    The only thing Gillis will be pulling is his hair (and some of us may do the same).

    The coyotes are pretty bad... They aren't catching us. They can't score. The d stinks and the goalie is hot and cold... They are pretty much done.

    We'll be done just as fast in the PO with our current snake-bitten team, in 4 games scoring 3 goals total.

    Turn off the TV with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd when:

    Canucks is up by one - The other team will score a tying a goal and then a GWG in the OT.

    Canucks is down by one - We'll never score a tying goal even if we have 6 on 4 PP.

    Seriously, when was the last time we saw Canucks scoring with their goalie pulled? Yeah, I don't remember either.

    Post game interview of this game.

    Anyways, I think this is just a slump and we'll get some confidence after a hopefully win against Calgary.

    Still California dreamin' aren't you Daniel? What you should have said instead is "I blew it because I missed the open net. I take a full responsibility." I've gotten tired of hearing these standardized, blinded comments from our so-called core players. Stop covering things up and tell us what you REALLY saw on the ice.

    Winning against Flames? With the way this team is playing I'm not even sure if they can beat an AHL team. And please, no more excuse for the after effect of playing a "statement game". If playing a statement game means spending the rest of the season trying to recover from it, don't even bother making any statement.

    This is a new low... even for this mediocre sad sack of a team.

    Sleepwalking through 56 minutes and then after getting a 4-minute PP, with 6 on 4 for the last two minutes, didn't even register a shot on goal?

    Time to put a paper bag over your head and bag skate, you bunch of useless plugs.

    For the first time this season I want to see Mt. Tortorella erupt and spew lava all over this hopeless team. They fully earned it.
