So Shane O'Brien is coming out with a story on how Bob Hartley reduce Sven to tears during practice and SOB stood up for him. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the podcast but Hartley comes out looking like a douche, or a pigeon in SOB words.
So...Hartley comes out looking like what he is....maybe super-douche would be more accurate...

he is never going to make it to the NHL ...if it’s not his lacking of nhl talent it’s his injuries
so may of us wanted MT but this was a rare draft miss by JB
win some and you lose some
I am calling that opinion ...a bust...
You don't write off a 21 year old D.man
You don't write off a first round pick before they played there first game.
You don't call someone lacking in talent ...when it is yourself lacking in knowledge.
We will still be winning this one...!
Just watch...!

Depth is fleeting...if you have it you have to use it or you end up losing it from waiver's or trades for more Eriksson's....(I know we didn't trade for him, use Gubbranson if you want)....
-
If they keep switching it up with Goldy and Baer...we can hang on to both of them until the TDL or even the playoffs where that extra depth and offense just might come in handy....no roster limit;s for the playoffs...

This injury is turning into a paranoidal cyst on CDC's collective butt....

Madden has the drive and skill to be as good as Gaudette and Gaudette has the drive and skill to be as good as Horvat...so I don't think we need to worry about Madden...his only issue might be trying to make the Canucks next year...even if we trade Sutter he would have to outplay AG because Green won't play him at 4C, I hope Madden is alright with a year in Utica or playing the wing....

I understand we focus our attention on Vcr prospects but there's a number of similar players all pretty close and most of them are either F or So age. I don't honestly believe they will all go on to stellar careers in the NHL, lets hope Madden is the one that does. Gaudette was a Hobey Baker winner and he''s OK but not setting the league on fire.
Gaudette may have read this...he is smoking big time and may just catch fire from here out...!

lol I agree...
But this shows how much is riding on the success/failure of Juolevi. We need one more elite defenceman and I think one more top 6 forward to round out the core. Currently we have EP, Boeser, Horvat with Podkolzin on the way up front. We have Demko on the goal. On the backend we only have Hughes and if Juolevi doesn't pan out, we have no one with an elite potential coming up. Have to draft and develop considering how difficult it is to sign a top 2/top 3 defenceman but then that could take a while.
I think Rathbone is going to be better than Stetcher and maybe even a Hughes lite kind of D...so if one of Oli or Jack do pan out ...we will be fine, if both do we need to ship out a NHL D.
I do agree that one more high end D. prospect would be a good idea...Utinen is alright but iffy and Rafferty, Teves, Brisboise and Sautner are all alright for 7th or 8th D depth.
Forgot about Tryamkin and Woo may get to top 4...but looks to me like a depth D.

...yet...gaud is much improved in 2months the rest of the year could see some smoke...if not flames...

Before we all go overboard with this good prospect , see where Madden ranks in the NCAA
So he is tied for 5th in the Nation in scoring and just one point out of 3rd....sounds pretty darn good to me...so what is your point?
Also he is way ahead of Turcotte and Caufield...!

I know Id rather see him in the lineup then Eriksson. Put the Big Mac on the PK and see how he does.
Erikkson nearly cost us a penalty last game...simply by doodling at bench door...he actually stopped and turned around to look at the play...as his replacement was just about to get into it...before sauntering off the ice.
I was sure the refs were going to call that...they had been calling things in the Cap's favour all game...
Erikkson needs to retire, he has zero drive left...

Okay. For starters, at this rate the Canucks will be lucky for Juolevi even playing an NHL game at the rate he’s going. Second, MT is a fantastic player who has earned whatever contract he gets next. He’s exactly the kind of player the Canucks could use in the top 6 regardless of how much money he’s going to make. Tkachuk is the type of player we all love to hate cause he’s a punk but would love to
have him on our team. Kind of like Marchand. Classy hockey doesn’t win you cups.
If we had him ...we couldn't afford EP or BB or QH...at least one of those and I would rather have those...TPuke is not turning Calgary into a cup team and by the time Oli is in his prime Calgary will be back to the bottom...while we are perennially good due to our depth and quality.

I think we have to think long term with Juolevi and he has the potential to be an ace in the hole so to speak. Just wait until he makes the big club and plays some games with our great young talent.
While Tchapuke is costing Calgary 8-10 million a year (next contract)...we will be paying Oli on an entry level contract...for what will be Edler's smarter replacement...

Very intriguing prospect, but I wish he would tone it down a little bit on the ice when he makes it to the big league
If he is 5-10 goal scorer his rookie year...he should tone it down some...if he gets 20-30...we all celebrate like New Years...!

Kole's anticipation/reading of the play has greatly improved...he is now ahead of the curve!

Why are people writing off a 21 year old just because he has had bad luck with injuries...that can change, he can actually get healthy and even if it takes another year or even 2 he will still be a 22 or 23 year old D man the same age as Stecher was or Rathbone will be when they make/made the team...
I would think his chances of been a bust are all due to his latest/longest setback but I doubt that puts it up to even 20% chance of bust...people heal...

Holy crap....so now he is skating like McJesus and passing like Hughes...maybe we will have a pair of #1 D's like Makar and Byram in Colorado!

I was thinking the same thing. Our crop of young defenders is significantly weaker than our crop of young forwards. We have a bunch of young defenders that are close to NHL ready in Utica, but none that look like they could make a significant impact if Juolevi continues down this path.
The question is which one of our young forwards would you want to trade? It would need to be someone with value if we want a good defenseman back.
Rathbone, Tryamkin, Woo and Juolevi will all be NHL D. if there health holds up...Rathbone and Juolevi will be top 4 and the other 2 not far behind.
I don't think we are too bad off and wouldn't trade a high end forward prospect for a maybe D prospect....

Yeah, you're going to be surprised, discounting them already as if they have no chance. Severely underestimating this team, just because a couple players are "kids", and as if they haven't played (and won) under championship-level pressure or never faced adversity. Equally underestimating the effect of the larger platoon of veterans around them, many of whom have been driving the play this season so far.
Where @Rollieo Del Fuego at?
I am doing less and less preaching to those that can't really seem to see the game...
Now that we have depth we can survive multiple player's being injured, we also have some truculence ...way more than last year...we also have some backup goaltending.
We will not only make the playoffs but we will win at least one round...more if everybody is healthy.
We have the horses now!

So the Bruins have a better chance at making the playoffs, make 2nd round, make 3rd round than the Canucks. But the Canucks have a better chance at making the finals and winning the cup than the Bruins? How does that work?
The only thing I can think of is that they lost the final last year...repeat loser's syndrome...

Ultra aggressive coaches like Hartley, Peter's and all are like that because they couldn't play hockey themselves and take it out on everyone else....
