  1. They are indeed good bassists. Do you know how good Carol Kaye is? Geddy Lee? Rick Lewis? Cue bass solo!
  2. This poll is getting out f control. Let's just stick the top chosen 10 folks.
  3. This is the list of the people. The question is who is, not who was, so we're dealing with living legends here. So far w're in a 50/50 split for first overall between Lewis and Lee.
  4. Well, who do you say? There are so many great ones with diverse styles. After tireless research the list has been whittled down to a chosen few.
  5. Highlight? It was a reference that is relevant in both threads. No go back to your toys you rookie. This is NOT the way to gain respect around here! Wait...I am a rookie too! But an award winning one at least!
  6. ""A-wop-bom-a-loo-mop-a-lomp-bom-bom!!"
  7. Had Linden not shared that sage comment, we would never have thought that. That's why they call him "The Mind".
  8. Hutton should add a few more pounds yet. Ron Delorme was listed at 182, and then 185.
  9. Good call. He was that size and a great player. In 1989/90 the average size of NHL players was 6'0", 198 lbs. As of the 2014-15 season it was 6'1" 201. I thought it would be a bigger increase. https://hockey-graphs.com/2015/02/19/nhl-player-size-from-1917-18-to-2014-15-a-brief-look/
  10. Absosmurfly not! Keep building your team of wee men.
  11. That will serve him well when he's shoving Lucic and Getzlaf aside.
  12. Chris McCallister, over 6"7".
  13. Again, your laziness prevails! Please re read my question. Did Karlsson play for the Canucks? Also, please quote me where I said we should never consider one going forward. I would love to see that quote! I also did not trow out Biega. But if you believe he is a bonafide NHLer, good luck on building a winner. "You have not provided any evidence to back-up your position that a sub 6' defenceman with the size of Stecher and his talents is doomed to failure." The evidence is that you cannot name one! Name one, just one!
  14. Pratt, so don't take it to the bank!
  15. What? I said under six feet and you used someone clearly 6 feet or taller as your example. What a lazy post on your behalf! Name one Canuck under 6 feet (that means 5'11 or shorter) who has been deemed a very good defenceman (please don't say Weber, Bubla, or Kearns, or McCarthy). Ballard was 5'11, yes but played tough. Name one!
  16. 202 would be great, much better than 200. I remember Burke used to use 208 pounds all the time to describe players. He said this I believe to use a specific weight, making us think he was right on the situation. Some of the players he said were 208 included Craig Coxe, Zarley Zalapski,Greg Adams,Doug Lidster, and Dave Saunders.
  17. Great song too! I like Biega, but in all honesty, if he is on your team, your defence isn't that deep. Weber did have a good year last season, but ultimately he was too soft to make the team much better when it came to the playoffs Diaz didn't pan out so well. Remember the highly touted college free agent Ian Kidd?
  18. Under 6 feet for am NHL defenceman is considered small. Will he make it difficult for opposing forwards to crash the crease? Keith is either 6"1" or 6"2" How successful has Vancouver been with d mean under 6"0"? If you consider Biega a success story then ok.
  19. To answer your question, please read my comment.
  20. Just the signing we need! We've had so much success with small defencemen!
