Well, as we head past mid August, many of you have been asking, "just who is the best bass player?". I know, I know the debate has been going on amazingly and a few of you have added some interesting cutting edge, outside of the box votes. But this solo, may take the cake. What do you guys think? Maybe it could also work as a new goal song for Louie?

An interesting story, I was friends with his nephew back in the 70s. His Christmas stocking had the name Carrot on it. On Christmas Day it was empty and we were told that Santa didn't believe there was someone named Carrot so he didn't put any presents in it.

What's become of this thread has become nothing short of bizarre and thrilling. The list is what it is. It's the best of the best. The people spoke and we agreed on a top 10. If you have someone else, well maybe the people didn't just didn't make the cut. Another weird thing is that this is a 5 star thread, but it seems some people (likely from bands lacking representation of their respective bassists) have tweeked the ratings to have it appear as a 2 star thread. No worry, we all know it's still 5 stars. "Instead, I get another of Cabinessence garbage threads that gets kept alive by people posting videos of old crap." Hey, it's 2016 and we're in the midst of Trudeaumania. Do you really need to hate?

Obviously "the powers that be" don't want Cabinessence to be hired as an assistant coach. Lazy or scared tactics on Deb's part. Not very Canadian.

One of the things we all love about these threads are how new ideas get brought to the table. A perfect example is mentioning Harris, who is a great player, but wasn't initially added to the people's top 10. Amazing stuff, really feeling the love!

Wrong. It is well documented within musician circles that Carl Kaye has claimed to play on far more tracks than she actually did.
