Not that it's a sure thing, but the type of game that panthers play will be more in Leafs favour compare to Boston. Leafs aren't as effective when you slow their game down which is what TB did but unfortunately ran out of gas. I also think bruins goalie tandem is more stable than panthers, despite Ulmarks play in his last couple of games. I think most importantly, given the history Boston is more in leafs head than any other team.

If Vasi continues his level of play from last game leafs are in deep trouble. TB seemed to have done a better job clearing the net last game and letting their goalie see the puck better. Leafs hasn't been the better team in most of the series and playing behind every game is not a recipe of success vs a team like TB. I think many TB players are playing hurt but their experience pushes them to keep going mentally - as much as I don't like TB's arrogance I have to respect this.

I feel so sorry for Jets fans when the leaders of your team are like this. Key players publicly say they don't want to say. The fact they still managed to make the playoffs is surprising, but not surprised with them out the first round. And when you have your top players taking no accountability of their play on the ice, how would the rest of the team follow their lead. Scheifele, Connor, Ehler, Morrissey and Hellebuyck. I can't imagine how this team isn't better with this core. I'm not even including Wheeler and Dubois.

Oof traded for Kane and Tarasenko. They should be glad they didn't have give up a ransom to get those two. So much for Kane getting upset cause Rangers didn't trade for him until he said he wants to go there. But... stranger things have happened. Scary thing is NJ is winning without needing Meier to score. Argh I am jealous of NJ...

I totally wrote off the Panthers after they were down 3-1. It's nice to see Boston choke, but if if leafs somehow advance I think Boston might be the tougher opponent because they can grind down the leafs top players. Panthers has firepower but their defense is very suspect. Boston has played uncharacteristically poor defensive in the last 2 games. With Bergeron back in the lineup they've actually played worse which is weird. I wonder if Ulmark is playing hurt or he did the opposite of having a goldfish memory. Perhaps his horrendous turnover in game 5 that gifted Florida the win is in his head now.
