Green is definitely the problem, he coached this game to be a 2-1 game instead of trying to make it a 3-1 or 4-1 type game, instead lost 4-3 after being up 2-0 just brutal

Yeah. Green is should be benching other players.
At this point it's just getting ridiculous

So Virtanen and Big Mac showed some promise at the end of the 2nd together, Virtanen has been benched so far in the 3rd this team was up 2-1 to start, Big Mac was benched until the game was tied he then got a shift, but Virtanen has still been on the bench, so how's that shortening the bench for the 3rd going when up 2-1, now down 3-2, great coaching.

Agreed..I like that combo. Maybe Motte/Hawryluk can help spruce up the other line?
I like Motte but don't know Hawryluk

What a story it would be if Virtanen and Big Mac could create something together, they showed some nice energy on that last shift.

I think he put a bit of pep in our step with that fight but not playing him is stupid as it’s wearing off. But hey, god forbid we should be a heavy team.
He's obviously getting more ice time this game then his last game plus being in the box for 5 mins, but the 3rd period will really determine the outcome

I hate that we’re so behind the 8 ball this year that Green has to ride his top players even when we’re ahead.
Will see what he does in the 3rd but it is frustrating I know.

Green said this team is built for winning games 2-1 not high scoring games, but those stats say other wise especially for last year...

Did Schenn chose to not stay tho? Can't really help that.
Yup looks like he did, I wasn't aware of this interview he had, turns out Canucks did offer him more than the league minimum Tampa gave him, but because Tampa contacted him he couldn't say no to the chance to win a cup even at league minimum. I guess it paid off for him.

lol...Gino would still protect Bure even when traded. Somebody ran at Bure (think Bure was a Panther then & Odjick was a Hab) and Gino just said something like "sooner or later than punk will have to play Montreal, and I'll be there to return the receipt" ).
See Gino was awesome, they were brothers from another mother and Gino was the big brother to protect and let little brother shine.

All well and good but schenn was chasing a cup. He didn't want to sign here. Said when he seen his brother get the cup he wanted a chance at it.
He wasn't chasing a cup he was chasing the opportunity to play in the NHL still he was becoming an AHL player until Canucks signed him, actually traded for him my bad.
Edit:
Looking back at it, it does look like he said this regarding chasing the cup, shocks me a bit just because his career looked to be heading down the AHL path and it wasn't until Canucks gave him a chance he basically got a 2nd chance at the NHL. I know Tampa waived him that year last year and he was waived this year already as well.

Gino didn't have to though. Bure took matters into his own hands when somebody tried to go after him.
Granted, anybody would get tough when having Gino backup you up.
Gino still had to protect, but Bure also wasn't afraid to do things like this eventually players snap. Look at Pettersson this year he two handed slashed a guy in the chest out of frustration, but does that mean he doesn't need protection now... No.
