The scary thing about that situation is it actually benefited the team that drafted Lindros Didn't they get quite the haul from trading him?
I believe young Forsberg was a piece in that trade.

Usually EP is the accurate one
Doesn't matter anymore because with his 4th point today, he's at 55 now!

I believe that Nilsson only had 53 points. Record broken.
Hockey DB records 54 and Elite Prospects records 53. I don't know what to believe!

This is a much more competitive era...than the one that Gretzky played in, there is no way anybody is going to get a 200 point season again or stand out more than he did...he was just so much better than everybody else back then.
EP has a bit of his magic and will stand out even more than BB is doing this year....it would be almost criminal to try to keep him in the AHL for any time at all...it will also be between EP and Dahlin for the Calder trophy next year...why would you hinder that with time in the minors...?
While I believe it's possible, I'm also not expecting it. The kid is doing something special but everyone adapts to the NHL differently and I've been hurt before.

Is 6 points what it would take to catch Nilsson?
Yup. Nilsson ended at 54 points and Pettersson is at 48 as of today. Very doable.

I was just speaking about passing Forsberg.
lol my bad.

Lmao. So your saying there's a chance...
I mean, 6 points in 5 games is pretty attainable for him considering the season he's had. Here's hoping he breaks it, but regardless, he's had an exceptional year.

With a goal and an assist today, Pettersson has tied Peter Forsberg for 2nd in all time U20 scoring in a single season in the SHL.

I know this is the Gaudette thread, and I'm super stoked on the guy, but being 4th in AHL SV% as a sophomore and 21 year old is pretty freaking great. I can't wait to see Demko's development over the next few seasons.

Do these points count towards his season totals or is the Bean Pot a seperate affair?

So, if my math is correct he needs 3 points in the next 4 games to match Forsberg.
Can you imagine if someone told you back when we drafted him that Pettersson would be pacing Forsberg at this point. Mind boggling stuff.
I think he only needs 2 points. He had 3 today which puts him at 45. Forsberg had 47.

Yeah, it's been established that Horvat is a top six center. Saying otherwise is just objectively wrong, no matter what metric you're using.
Anyways, that Lind guy is pretty good, eh?
I actually forgot that I was in the Lind thread until I read this comment lol.

I don't know if this has been posted already, but this clip makes me feel so happy that he's a Canuck!
It's interesting to note that this is an english SHL feature, not a third party interview
The interviewer is one of my best friends. He's out of the BCIT radio broadcasting program and does daily English play by play for random games throughout the SHL.

It'd be nice to have Pettersson, Dahlen, Lind, Juolevi and Gadjovich playing on the same team in Utica next year. I've said it many times, I think a year in the minors for Pettersson will do wonders.
IMO Gaudette and Juolevi make the team next year. If Juolevi has an amazing camp he'll most definitely crack our defense.
I kind of expect to see Pettersson in Utica next year as well, following the Nylander development curve; However, if he shows up in camp, I wouldn't be against him rolling with the big club.
As exciting as Utica would be, if the Sedins are back, I would love for him to play on the same team and learn from them. This off season will be a lot of fun regardless.

I think he has to play 1 more season in junior before he can suit up professionally for anyone but the Canucks.
