  1. As much as I threw Hogan under the bus in my last post about him, I will not deny all that he's done for the business. He doesn't need to be involved in any important storylines, matches or roles anymore though. His time is over. If he wants to come out once or twice a year, Hulk up, rip his shirt and pose I'm alright with that.
  2. He will sign with whomever wants him to be a major part of a storyline, because he's Hulk Hogan dammit. If I had my way, Hogan would only appear once a year at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to hand out HOF rings and apologies for all the career's he killed by Hulking up
  3. Figures...the company has been trying to move him on since booting him off Raw in favour of Michael Cole. JR's best days are behind him, but I'd still listen to him over Cole for play-by-play anyday. He'll be missed.
  4. Should've kept his El Generico gimmick, but I guess he didn't want it trademarked by WWE in case things don't work out. Don't blame him but I've seen a couple good matches from him on NXT. All the in fighting between WWE and TNA fans, here's something that pokes fun at them both: Botchamania. Been a while since I've posted one (not that I make em) but here's Botchamania 236 which for once has no TNA bits in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUetD2pN6qw Edit: Posting the clip would be nice.
  5. I'm sure Vince still would have some muscle like Big Show or Big E come out after Warrior in case he decided to hijack the Rumble
  6. You think if it happened they would save that for Wrestlemania. It would be a great match.
  7. You can't take him seriously now? Because you could take his 95-96 Blueblood gimmick seriously?
  8. Guess I should throw in my two cents (or nickel now that the penny is gone) seeing as Summerslam is supposed to be the #2 show of the year (I still enjoy the Rumble more)... Dean Ambrose will retain over RVD...RVD doesn't need a title at this stage of his career, and can help out developing younger guys by working great matches with them trying not to botch and making them look good. Daniel Bryan will beat John Cena for the WWE championship...but how will this match play out is the real question? I don't see Ryback on the card, so something tells me he'll square off with Triple H to give him some on camera focus for a while and probably destroy both Cena and Bryan in the process. This will probably open up the chance for Orton to come down and cash in. I hope Randy Orton doesn't leave with the title, but it does open up a Bryan/Orton rematch at the next PPV, or a possible triple threat if Cena is still in the picture and not taking any time off. CM Punk will defeat Brock Lesnar and get his hands on Heyman. Problem is I don't think creative knows what direction they want to go with CM Punk after this match. A WWE Title match vs. Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series would be nice, but that's if they have faith keeping/putting the strap on Bryan. Does anyone see Damian Sandow cashing in his briefcase on Christian after he beats Alberto Del Rio? It would be funny if he did and there was no sight of Randy Orton all night just to throw everyone off, and to piss off Canada seeing as Christian has horrible luck holding onto the WWE Championship. Damian Sandow will defeat Cody Rhodes, which is too bad as I liked their team. Seems the tag division is weak again given the only good teams are The Shield and the Uso's, seeing as the PTP are always #1 contender fodder for another team. If Bray Wyatt loses to Kane in any capacity that isn't a "we just killed Kane in an intentional DQ", I'll vomit. AJ and Big E are my pick to win, but that's because I hate Kaitlyn. Hopefully other meaningful matches run long and the Divas match gets cancelled so we don't see another Bella Twin switcharoo win....does anyone actually care about this match other than John Cena and Daniel Bryan (if they even care)?
  9. 1997. WCW was at its peak in terms of the nWo vs. WCW storyline and had a great mid-card (Benoit, Jericho, Mysterio, Malenko, all the luchador cruserweights etc.). WWF was changing directions from the New Generation to the Attitude era, Steve Austin was emerging as a huge star, Bret Hart has his final WWF Championship reign, the first (and best) DX was formed and the Undertaker was coming to grips with the fact that his brother Kane had been alive all along.
  10. The ONLY way I'll be happy if Cena retains the title on Sunday is if he and Triple H are working together and screw over Daniel Bryan and they turn Cena into a coorporate champion. But how many times have we all wished for a Cena heel turn before and been let down
  11. Well, you can only heavily edit him out of so many matches in history. It's already too bad for a lot of wrestlers that their great 1 on 1 matches with Benoit will never see the light of day again (minus Youtube uploads).
  12. I don't really want to step into this argument over TNA's production values and handling of talent/shows but to be fair, WWE has only been a national product since the early 80's. The history is there, but it was a northeast regional promotion prior to Vince Jr. taking over.
  13. Kane would be awesome in the Wyatt family as an enforcer type, coming in for the heavy work when needed and staying silent. Kane as a character is better the less he talks and the more damage he inflicts. As per look wise, Daniel Bryan has the beard to go nice with the trend in the Wyatt's, but the size factor isn't there
  14. I wouldn't mind this as much. Both are part time guys and they have history. Their fued over the IC Title in 98 just prior to The Rock getting his main event push was fantastic, ending with that Ladder Match at Summerslam (which sidelined Triple H for a few months). Be nice to see them go at it one last time, especially if Triple H is a heel. Also the dumbest match WCW did, as they rushed them into a match on Nitro for ratings over the big draw they would've had if it was a PPV main event. This was the final Nitro that beat Raw in the ratings.
  15. Sportsnet also had Sunday Night Heat back in the day...before SmackDown came along there actually was some meaningful stuff on Heat.
  16. Bahaha, it's because no one cared anymore. NXT no longer needed him, he was banished from SmackDown and PPV colour commentary due to his horrible ability of getting excited when someone performed an Irish whip, and he no longer competes in the ring. Now that Renee (Paquette) Young is being trained to do more backstage interviews and Josh "How did it feel to lose that match" Matthews is always on standby to ask stupid questions I could see WWE no longer wanting to throw money away on Striker.
  17. Well, Torts has a Stanley Cup ring I guess. But so did Crawford.... If the team is going to rebuild, now is the time. At least Torterella would keep the pressers interesting and entertaining if this team decides it wants to gut itself.
  18. I'll watch if Ric asks Piper's wife if she would like to go for a ride on Space Mountain....
  19. Hmmm, $20 to watch Gangrel wrestle? Maybe if the sponser throws in a bucket of chicken with your ticket I'd show up!
  20. Maybe he sits beside Vince Vaughn? EDIT: If you are looking for him, he wears a Chicago jersey: And there was a tweet from him with his feet resting on the boards, so he does sit row 1.
  21. And will be greener than goose sh*t in the ring. Being a former UFC athlete will not be a quick transition to the ring, and time is not on his side.
