Having six injured players is crippling to my points total...luckily Lappy chipped in with mega PIMS, else last night was a dud. I call no playoffs for the Nucks now. We can't win 2 on the spin, never mind 10.

Santa's last game was Jan 16th; since then we've gone 7-13-1 by my reckoning. Last twelve before he went down (during which he had just 2 goals and 0 assists) we went 4-5-3, including the 9-1 loss to the Ducks.

I know what you mean, some players just cannot handle pressure of any sort. Booth's head looks like it might explode, he's under so much pressure. Most likely it's from himself, he must be desperate to score some goals. He has to be a buyout, I fully expect Edler to waive his NTC once he finishes on -40 and third pairing minutes, all I want from the off-season is solid training, a veteran goalie like Halak to shelter Lack a bit, and a massive, mahossive, monster UFA signing like Stastny, Vanek or Moulson. That's not too much to ask for.

To be fair, 0 goals in 31 games for Booth cannot be the result of bad social media. It's the product of a lack of focus, a lack of discipline, and possibly a lack of fitness and/or understanding of his role in the team. 31 games. Burrows went longer than that, but he's now back with a vengeance. If I had to put my mortgage on Booth scoring or not scoring for the remainder of the season, I'd put it on him not scoring. I think next season will be different. Horvat will surely make the team, Shinkaruk may have another storming camp and make it impossible to send him down. Jensen with a full summer of 'grown up' training. Gaunce, Cassels, Fox all in the mix. Add in a fully fit and healthy Daniel, Henrik, Burrows, Kesler and Santorelli, and there is the makings of a young, fast yet also experienced team. I have faith in the team, just less so in the GM and his crew.

According to pickup my Flyers side has SIX injured players right now - Pavalec, Wideman, Horcoff, Erat, Liles and Dvorak. Liles, despite having a concussion, has yet to be placed on IR Jensen can snipe. My God, he can snipe. Anyone else think he could be the partner for the Sedins? Dank and Hank are both passers, with Jensen's sniping he could rack up a few goals.

Boy is this Canucks team in a rut. Even under AV I had faith he could turn it around, under Torts I have zero. This truly sucks. I've not been this down on the Nucks since we missed the playoffs in Trevor Linden's final season.

With all due respect, we feel that $39m per season is not the contract we agreed upon with Jakub...

I had zero problem with trading Schneider. Especially when the return was Bo Horvat. But trading Luongo as well was an awful move by our GM. In fact, the treatment of Lu for the last 5 years has been nothing short of scandalous. We need to sign an experienced goalie - perhaps Giguere, maybe Thomas - to mentor Lack. He's not ready.

Great job Curt! Time to assess my roster and work out how to play the rest of the season...

Nearly 100%, am going back to work on a half day this Wednesday then back full-time on Thursday. I'll have missed 13 working days by the time I get back, and I know how much important stuff I had to get done in that time...looking forward to getting back in there!

I've taken to re-reading the whole lot. So far I'm about halfway through what would be Season 1 of the show. The quality of the books is actually not as high as I remember, some very poor writing structures and paragraphs that make little sense. I don't remember it from my first read through but if you're critical of them, the books aren't always fantastic either.

Roberto Luongo was one of my all-time favourite Canucks. In a fandom that has spanned Ohlund, Jovanovski, Cloutier, Salo, Hamhuis, Bieksa, Naslund, Hank, Dank, Burr, Kes, Beaker, Bertuzzi, BMo, Trevor Linden, Andrew Cassels andTaylor Pyatt's eyes, Luongo is right up there with Linden for me. A true legend of the franchise, and the best goalie I have seen in a Nucks uniform. I am ecstatic that after expecting zero return, or even using our last compliance buyout on him, we instead have snaffled a promising backup goalie plus a scoring third liner on a good contract. Most of CDC has played the 'how do we get Matthias' game over the last two years - now we have our man. I will be avidly following Lu's progress in Florida. I hope he leads them to the playoffs next season, and beyond. I would like to smash MG in the face for treating our star player like he has over the last 4 years, from the fallout of the captaincy and all the stuff since. He's been a very poor 'leader' of our team, and I can only hope that without the clearly unwanted distraction of Lu that he can now concentrate on business matters. I also now hope that our D will have a fire lit under it. They cannot let Markstrom get lit up the way Lu has at times this season. They now have someone to protect, rather than someone to bail them out. For now, farewell Roberto Luongo. Thank you for the memories. We will always cherish them.
