  1. And all the 'buy a gaming PC over an XB1' purists keep telling me that Steam is awesome What's Goat Simulator anyway? It can't be what it sounds like, can it?
  2. Waivers: To accommodate the acquisition of Andy Miele, the Philadelphia FLyers waive F Chris Vandevelde and assign him to the Philadelphia Phantoms. Revised Flyers lines: Jordan Eberle - Mikko Koivu - Jakub Voracek Taylor Pyatt - David Desharnais - Ales Hemsky Colin McDonald - Shawn Horcoff - Martin Erat Patrick Dwyer - Max Lapierre - Radek Dvorak Andy Miele Dennis Wideman - Jordie Benn Andrew Ference - Nick Holden Nicklas Grossman - John-Michael Liles Kevin Connauton - Nick Schultz Ondrej Pavelec Kevin Poulin LTIR: Henrik Zetterberg Revised Phantoms lines: Mike Rupp - Chris Vandevelde (pending waivers) - Adam Cracknell Evgeny Dadonov - Austin Watson - Spencer Machacek Harri Pesonen - Alan Quine - Jerred Smithson Alex Friesen - Devin Shore - Brad Mills Vinny Prospal - Jamie Arniel Jean-Philippe Cote - Denis Grebeshkov Brandon Burlon - Colby Cohen Matt Konan - Gleason Fournier Yann Danis
  3. Totally agreed. I hate myself for waking up in the morning and looking, hoping, for a Voracek multiple point game, or a Mad Max Lapierre PIM-fest. But apart from Edmonton, I am starting to appreciate all the other teams. It's bizarre. Even Calgary, whenever I see a Brian McGrattan goal I think 'oh, good for him'. Rather than the implacable hatred I would have once shown him.
  4. I am sure it will be - both of us have made significant moves since I re-joined the league at Christmas, and I am sure that with the draft and free agency coming up, we'll both be set for a big season come September time. Ye Gods, it's six months until the hockey season starts again. That's a LONG time
  5. After hearing from PO that TM is a nice guy, I am now cheering against him. After all, nice guys always finish last...hence why you and me are stuck near the bottom
  6. Amen to that. Kinect 1 was a gimmick really, fun for playing games that didn't really mean much to you. But now it really does form part of your gaming experience, I used it while playing FIFA, Ryse and Thief. It's great.
  7. I've struggled badly with injuries recently as well, just now getting some players back. Dennis Wideman is a big loss to me, I can't place him on IR either due to the previous GM not having good enough medical facilities in place... Losing Henrik Zetterberg basically killed off any hopes I had of climbing 2/3 spots in the standings.
  8. I hope we do too, seeing as we traded our draft pick away...
  9. It is strange to see Chicago sitting in that 3rd spot in the central, while three teams with more points currently sit outside the playoffs in the East
  10. I could picture Hank and Dank still playing in 17 years, patiently passing along the boards and waiting for 36 year old Hunter Shinkaruk to come in and score his 500th career goal...
  11. So the Bo Horvat window is already closed, yeah?
  12. You lot are so lucky, getting to see the episodes a day earlier than the UK. It means I have to avoid the internet for a whole day.
  13. Belated Happy Birthday! Just looked at some stats. Of all Canucks to play this season, only Jason Garrison has played in all 74 games. That might be where our season went wrong! And only 4 players have missed less than 5 games - Garrison, Higgins, Hamhuis and Sestito.
  14. A 65 point night, one of the best my Flyers have had since I became GM A special shout out to Colin McDonald, 2G 1A and +4. A very nice evening!
  15. What a bizarre thing to do, unless he was injured? He was excellent in his six games with the Panthers. And they keep Scott Gomez up?
  16. That must be a tough call to make with Howden's recent impressive play.
  17. That goal by Jensen in the last game...
  18. Injuries have really crippled my season...never mind. Next season will be the beginning of a new era for the Flyers!
  19. Back for the playoffs, same as Chris Tanev
  20. NHL.com says three weeks: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=710355&navid=nhl:topheads
  21. Waivers: The Philadelphia Flyers place F Mike Rupp on waivers, assigning him to the Philadelphia Phantoms.
  22. It certainly does in the UK. I managed to con some poor sod into paying me the same price on ebay as I paid in the shops for Battlefield 4, when the game was so broken you couldn't play the multiplayer!
  23. I can see the Leafs winning the Cup more than us getting the second wildcard spot. As for Reinhart, isn't he the scoring 1C that you guys need? With Zadorov, Pysyk and Ristolainen to come in on the blueline, and with Myers already there with Ehrhoff, McBain and Tallinder, is there really room for Ekblad there? If I'm the Sabres I'm taking the best forward I can, and I wasn't there stories that Grigorenko might be unhappy after the whole demotion debacle? Trade him, then have Reinhart-Hodgson-Girgensons down the middle.
  24. I'd expect Buffalo to draft Sam Reinhart personally. This is one of the more interesting #1 choice of the last few years though; if Edmonton gets the pick, they'll pick Ekblad and ruin him like they've ruined Yakupov and Schultz.
  25. 6th overall...indeed. I doubt all of Winnipeg, New Jersey, Ottawa, Nashville and Carolina leapfrog us in the standings but with the chance of landing the #1 pick at 1.5% currently - potentially as much as 6.2% if we land the 6th overall - we could end up getting a very, very good pick. I would love to see us grab say, the 8th overall pick, then package something up to make another deal with Florida for the 2nd/3rd overall pick. Knowing how good they are as a trading partner, there is scope for us to do this I reckon. Ekblad would look immense on our blueline. Perhaps 8th overall + Hunter Shinkaruk + Frank Corrado might do it?
