I understand people like to say how many playoff wins Sanchez has but to be fair he had an amazing defence with the Jets with a young Revis and Cromartie who could both lock down guys 1-on-1 consistently a ferocious front and blitzing and exotic pressures from a typical Ryan defense.

Sanchez and really any qb's numbers in terms of completion percentage will be inflated the most in this offensive system due to the plays run being high percentage dink and dunk throws mostly with shallow crosses and quick throws to backs or receivers on screens and seam passes to TE's.

Those plays are much easier to complete when you only go deep rarely and prefer to work the middle of the field with the TE's and slot receivers and horizontally with screens.

I get what you are saying though but Sanchez is probably just as if not more mistake prone than Bradford he has a history of either fumbling or throwing big interceptions that change the momentum of the game for the worse.

I was actually referring to his playoff stats and not specifically his record. 6 games with 9 TDs with 3 INTs and a completion percentage a hair over 60% with a ratings of 92.7 and 95.5 against some pretty good teams. As far as wins go the defense was huge but Sanchez certainly stepped up and played well.

Sanchez did get a boost in completion percentage and he isn't the most accurate QB but he is a QB who takes some deep shots. Last season Sanchez had an average of 7.83 yards per pass which is a pretty solid amount. Though no Maclin may change things this year it seems like Bradford may specifically have an issue going deep and involving his WR's. Sanchez did a good job with it last year.

I am not saying Sanchez is great or anything special but I do believe he is a solid NFL QB who is a bit underrated because people remember his screw ups first.

So where would Mark Sanchez fit in your ranking? In the bottom just underneath the average veterans?

I think Newton will definitely be a consistent and good quarterback in the league. From the moments I've seen him play this year, he has the tools to be a franchsie QB.

Sanchez is easily better than some of those on his average list. He is a pretty capable QB if you look at his numbers last season minus the 1 game where the Seahawks bent him over he was completing 65% of his passes for an average of 290 yards a game. If he kept his pace and played a full season even with the Seattle game he would have finished 14th with 25 passing TDs. His big flaw is that he can get overly aggressive and throw ugly INT's. Such as last game against the Phins where he threw that INT in the endzone with the game on the line.

He has been like this his whole career but hopefully his 2nd year in the system limits them a bit more.

And they don't even use Graham as much as they should. Look at Gronk in New England. 806 yards receiving, 8 TD's.

Graham 491 yards and 2 TD's. In New Orleans in 2014, Graham had 889 yards for the year and 10 TD's.

It really isn't comparable though. Last season Seattle was 27th in pass yards per game while NO was 3rd. This season Seattle is 27th in passing and NO is 1st. It's just system based. Did Jimmy Graham make Drew Brees and the Saints offense or did they make him great?

  4. Nah we've seen this movie before this team folds in big games or important situations more often than not the offence and receivers are overrated.

This team is way too inconsistent and is not close to being a true contended even with all the offseason changes. They have proven to be mostly lateral moves.

Foles and Bradford is a wash so fat. DeMarco and Matthews is not much better than McCoy. Agholor not better than Desean. Jordan Matthews not better than Maclin.

    O Line is weaker.

Individual skill doesn't always define a team. Though a different spot it reminds me of the past Phillies teams. The team that won the World Series was an inconsistent team that was trashed on all season as they barely hoovered above .500 before they got red hot as the season ended and romped to a WS win with many no name depth players stepping up in clutch scenarios. They then cranked out teams after that with players like Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt, Hunter Pence, etc., joining them and never won again.

Though they fell just short the 2010 Flyers were the 7th ranked Eastern team with a .500 record that came 2 games from winning the Cup against the Blackhawks.

The point being the Eagles are competitive. Even if just luck it doesn't guarantee they will keep botching FG's or throwing INT's in the redzone. Anything can happen, even Sanchez has strong playoff numbers.

Might as well let things play out as long as the team is still in playoff contention. Even last year a 7-8-1 team made the playoffs and knocked out an 11-5 team.

  5.

    Warning: Contains vulgar language.

    Sums it up season's over.

Typical Eagles... mediocre franchise and team shan't won a playoff game for 8 plus years now playing in a weak and easy division to win year in and year out.

Not worth it to make time to watch..... I'm out.

    That YouTube comment section xD

"this is the calmest I've seen Vince Wilfork"

Eagles likely won't go far but they still may make the playoffs given they are technically 1/2 game out of the division lead xD

If the Eagles had Josh Brown they would be at least 7-2 xD

  6. Edelman with a broken foot/bone. Same injury as Dez. Possible chance he returns during the playoffs or earlier. All depends on the recovery period as it varies person to person.

Could be season ending, could not also.

Even if he comes back you have to wonder if he would be close to the same player he was for the remainder of the year. Dez technically recovered ahead of schedule after 6 weeks but now 3 weeks since returning he still doesn't look healthy with only 1 impressive play and has constantly looking flatfooted and hobbled on plays he normally makes.

But in all fairness he does have Cassel throwing to him.

  7. Eagles with an ugly loss. They can only blame themselves though. INT in the endzone with 4 minutes left, receivers dropping passes and not even looking for them, Sturgis is embarrassing with yet another missed FG from only 32 yards out.

  8. Call taps for my fantasy team. First Forte, now Luck.

    Game over man, game over.

I have been the opposite. I started 1-3 but now I am 6-3. Though it is mainly because I drafted Gurley and McFadden and they are paying off now after weeks of terrible RB suffering xD

  9. A lot of rookies have looked pretty good so far. KAT, Okafor, Porzingis, Mudiay all look like future studs... Even guys in smaller roles like Winslow and Stein have done really well in limited roles and the undrafted TJ McConnell is starting to emerge on the radar with the Sixers.

Russell is really the only big name rookie who is taking heat for underachieving but that may be credited to his coach as they are a really mismanaged team right now.

  10. Just read a crazy thing.

Aaron Rodgers is 0-25 lifetime when trailing by 9 points going into 4th quarter.

    What in the world.

Does it have the stats of other QB's? Most are probably really low.

Plus it can be misleading. Many of those games may have been much bigger holes as well as the fact that he often has played with a horrible defense. His 4th quarter stats may not actually be that bad.

But I will admit I feel Rodgers is prob the move over hyped QB in the NFL.

  11. Early DROY candidate Hicks is out for the season :(

He was turning into a monster of a player too. Though maybe not a huge loss for the Eagles given how deep they are at his position with Kiko Alonso, Mychal Kendricks, and Demeco Ryans.

  12.  Good fit though.  That team is desperate for skill at WR.  Low risk, high reward.

For the Rams yes (though he is probably done given how hard he fell off and how damaged he is). For him though it is high risk low reward. It literally seems like he is desperate.
