  1. I don't like the idea of trading Horvat and the 6th. I'd much rather trade 1 of Edler, Tanev, Hansen, Burrows, but if FLA included Kulikov I'd be willing to build around a deal including Horvat maybe. Horvat, 6th, Hansen for Reinhart, Kulikov, 3rd or 2nd rounder?(Keep in mins this is the highest 2nd rd pick)
  2. “@DavePratt1040: Florida now said to be offering first pick over all to Canucks for their 6th over all and Bo Horvat.. This time tell Dale Tallon...No thanks” Not saying this guy's a credible source, but if thats true I'm not really down with that deal. Unless of course Florida adds in Kulikov. Something like Horvat, 6th, Hansen for Reinhart, Kulikov, 3rd. I can deal with that. I'd much rather keep Horvat and trade Tanev/Edler though.
  3. Listen Nuckster I believe we got off on the wrong foot. I don't do drugs, and I'm not a stupid little kid throwing out trade proposals out of my @ss. I'm a 36 year old man that really enjoys watching the Canucks, and I want them to succeed as much as you do. I hope we can both celebrate them winning a cup in our lifetime. I just wanted to explain that we would have to overpay to get the first overall. In my proposal we have Kesler, Tanev, 6th, overall, and DSP going out, and the 1st overall, 10th, and 24th coming back. I also mentioned that this was a starting point. It could be tweaked so we would get something more coming back our way as well. Also maybe we keep DSP and trade the 6th, 24th, Tanev, or the 10th, 24, and Tanev whatever. In the bolded you mentioned that we would remove Kesler, Tanev, 6th, 10th and in return we would get Reinhart, DSP, but you forgot to mention that the 24th overall would be coming our way. Lastly I just wanted to point out that I didn't say that I would, or wouldn't do this trade and that it was plausable, but in all likelihood this is what it might take to get that pick in a 3 way deal. Of course there are a million other possibilities. I just demonstrated a starting point that included the 3 teams that were involved in the proposal. Iv'e heard the Tanev, 6th, Hansen offer from others and I think thats what it might take if it were just VAN and FLA invoved in a trade. In the end I believe the question we should be asking ourselves is, is it worth it to go for the number one pick? That I leave in the hands of Jim Benning, and I will trust and support his decesion because after all JB and co. know better than you and I about how to go about making this team into a contender again.
  4. Yes very impressive, but If Nylander played in the Q he would have gotten about 120 points playing against kids his age
  5. Thanks man. I know it can be tweaked for sure, as I mentioned this could be a starting point for a 3 way deal with these teams involved. Also I'm not suggesting that we would do, or not do this, but this is what it might take "if" we wanted the first overall pick. We should be asking ourselves is it worth it to move up that much?
  6. I do agree that Tanev and the 6th would be fair value, although I just don't think that would get us the 1st considering there are other teams out there in the sweepstakes that might offer more. I'm not saying I would trade away that much for the top pick either. Staying at 6th is fine, but we would need to overpay if we wanted the 1st IMO. In my proposal we still keep the 10th, and 24th overall and add DSP to FLA to get us over the top for the first. We could also keep DSP and offer the 24th, 6th, and Tanev, Or 24th, 10th, and Tanev. My suggestion was just a starting point. Maybe florida throws in a 2nd rounder to us to even it out I don't know. I guess I'm just spit balling a deal here. I appreciate your opinion and insight.
  7. Yeah ok whatever man. I'm done conversing with you.
  8. Almost like my proposal just a little tweaked. I think we could keep the 24th or DSP in the deal though.
  9. We are essentially trading Tanev and the 6th overall for the 1st overall, and Kesler for 10th, and 24th. Smith-Pelly adds incentive to florida to get the first overall jackass because Tanev and the 6th wont get it alone IMO. I mentioned that this is just a starting point and there could be modifications. We can even keep Smith-Pelly and throw in the 24th whatever. Like I said just a starting point. I'm tired of stupid punks thinking they know better than everyone else on here.
  10. That is true. Although I presume to get a player of Keslers calibre, and having more teams involved in the bidding change the landscape a little or a lot. Also added to the fact that the playoffs are over for pretty much all of the teams that were/are interested(they are willing to trade some players that they probably would'nt have wanted to give up at the time), and considering that he is the best centerman on the market right now might make a difference at this time.
  11. It was rumoured that Anaheim had the 10th, 24th, and a young player on the table in a possible Kesler deal at the deadline. Thats what they're given up for Kesler in this deal. Other teams will be bidding for Kesler also, so they would have to overypay to compete in the sweepstakes. Maybe florida adds a 3rd to make it a little more fair.
  12. I posted this in another thread. What do you think? To FLA: Tanev Smith-Pelly 6th overall To ANA: Kesler To Van: 1st overall 10th overall 24th overall I'm not the best at proposals, but give or take I think it's a good starting point for a 3 way with the teams included here.
  13. Thanks. I think it's a good starting point to say the least. I hope Benning is reading this
  14. That would be a dream. I think We can get a very good prospect at 10th regardless though. Fleury/Virtanen/Kappanen/Ritchie/Larkin/Tuch Yeah maybe FLA's 3rd or something like that. We give up enough already in this trade. I think its pretty fair, and everyone gets what they want.
  15. To FLA: Tanev Smith-Pelly 6th overall To ANA: Kesler To VAN: 1st overall 10th overall 24th overall Good?
  16. I'm not. We need Kass as a part of this core moving forward. I'd rather move Burrows. Burrows, Tanev and the 6th for our future #1 centerman.
  17. What would be the smarter move? Make a deal with Tallon before, or after the Kesler trade? Provided Kesler isn't included in the FLA deal.
  18. Won't be let down. I try not to get too emotional about these things. We have a great pick already with the 6th.
  19. I have a really good feeling that we will get him.
  20. That's for sure. It also depends on what we get in return for Kesler. We may get a young centerman in the exchange. So many options. If Benning is gunning for SR and gets him it might alter the Kesler trade, or vice versa.
