Isn't Dave Tippet supposed to become a free-agent this summer or something? If so I would love to have him here, he seems like a guy who can get the most out of his players and doesn't play favorites.

I think Tippett would be similar to AV...

we don't know Tippett's potential because he's helped grinders overachieve (much like AV in his first few seasons)

We dont know whether Tippett is good with top end talent

Didn't the Bruins fire Tippett and hire Julien?

Garrison looks like he has finally adjusted.

I have to admit, I was concerned when I saw the first half of the season. Slow foot speed, lack oh hockey awareness, etc.

I think it was all just a byproduct of him learning the system.

He's still not fast by any means but in terms of hockey sense, he is showing it and has been very steady on the backend recently

If he can find a way to hit the net more on his shots and get it through the blockers, I would be VERY happy with his play

anybody can throw the puck to brian campbell on the powerplay and pad the stats. getting shots through and producing goals is what made garrison a commodity, not being a decoy.

Garrison came off an injury and took some time to get used to a brand new system.

He is starting to look solid defensively.

As for offence, I don't care if we use him as a decoy as long as he helps the team score goals.

If he scores, great, if he assists, great.

It's all about adjustments. If a team fears his shots and cheats towards him on the PP, that means another player will be open.

It seems kind of silly that you still expect him to shoot while the lane is blocked. If teams are over compensating and leaving other players/lanes open, the correct move would be to pass the puck as that would produce a better scoring chance
