Throwing out things like "asanine" and first grader don't make you any smarter and is an attempt to....shame.  So double standards aren't really helping make your point.  The pee test is to give a pretty effective visual that some NEED because giving them the facts isn't enough.  Public health officials and scientists are recommending to wear masks to reduce the spread of a potentially deadly virus.   Some need it to be dumbed down.

What's asinine (corrected spelling) is those arguing against wearing masks for a time to get us through a fairly unprecedented period where doing so could help save lives.

Everyone has a right to breathe and if your breath potentially carries virus droplets, cover it up so it doesn't make us sick.

I know how to spell asinine, I was in a rush to finish my post before heading to work and missed the typo.  Maybe throwing words like that around "don't make me any smarter" (see, I can be a grammar nazi too) but it doesn't take a genius to realize that the official narrative of this entire debacle has more holes in it than swiss cheese.  You're not being kind and considerate by putting a piece of cloth over your face.  You're simply going along with the herd and using as an excuse to virtue signal and boss people around.   You should probably get over yourself.

Anti-masker should be pejorative. It is someone that is so callous that they don’t care that they are helping to kill people.

Yeah, people who aren't sick not wearing masks are literally killing people .  And I'm being called dramatic.  Keep virtue signalling though.  Are you a real doctor?  Because your knowledge about this pandemic is absolutely blowing my mind.

This is kind of reasoning I'd expect from a first grader.  The fact a supposed adult came up with this laughably simplistic analogy is much scarier than any virus.

    Anti maskers are a joke...

The only joke is the term "anti-masker" becoming a pejorative.  Like your right to have a face and breathe uninhibited is now grounds for shaming people.

they'd likely wear:  a hallowe'en mask to a party; a balaclava skiing; a full face motorcycle helmet; etc..  But this cotton piece????....don't make me do it

You wear a Halloween mask once a year, twice tops.  You wear a balaclava while your on the slopes and a motorcycle helmet while your riding your bike.  You don't wear any of these things all day, every day for 9 months and counting...  What an absolutely asinine comparison.

The original orca jersey was basically Rangers colors...I guess a harbinger of what was about to happen to the locker room.  What, we need their captain, coach and jersey?  Man, if people thought Gillis chasing the "Boston Model" after the 2011 loss was bad.

Interesting.  I've never heard anybody describe that jersey as copying the Rangers before.

When I saw the jersey for the first time in 1997, my first thought was "man the Canucks are really trying to capitalize on the Merchandise sales of the Colorado Avalanche."

Why don't you ask Buffalo Sabres fans about how they felt about the Banana Slug logo, the Sabres' version of the Canucks' Orca.

Apples and Oranges.  The Banana Slug lasted 4 years, the Orca has been around for 23 and counting...

I actually like that black/green combination for a jersey. Still hate the running man logo though. Doesn't matter what you put it on it still looks "peewee hockey logo" to me. Earlier I had suggested a black/blue gradient with green striping rather than the blue/green with white stripes. It would have been the gradient throwback with a nod to every jersey we've used. Blue/green of SiR and Orca and black for the V and skate. Then the Orca in the logo could have been it's natural black. That black/green would look really sharp with a black Orca though.

Green and black?  Ick.  I thought it the navy was just washed out on the photograph.

I think it's a little better than a Peewee logo but it's definitely not strong enough to be our primary mark.

...typical canuck style disappointment for those of us who are concrete and reckon that a canuck is a bearded lumberjack, carrying a stick and wearing a plaid shirt, skates, toque and a determined affect all while bearing down hard on his opponent . . . not a pooping whale

'Canuck' is a slang term for Canadian.  While a lumberjack could be a Canuck, it's not the air-tight representation of our team's namesake the Orca haters seem to think it is.

The new jersey looks great and that's coming from someone who absolutely despised the original from 2001.
