    On the other hand the our players could have refused to drop their gloves and let those Flames each take 5 for fighting, 2 for instigating, and a game misconduct just like what happened to us in Anaheim. Then we would have played most of the 1st on the pp and the Flames would be short on bodies the entire game. There is a choice.

    and what kind of message would that send not only to the rest of the NHL but to the canucks themselves other then the fact that we are weak, that we are pushovers, that we are pansies. If they had done that and not stood their ground then this crap will continue Torts is turning this team into warriors and I for one LOVE IT.

    Even if this does not change how the NHL and media treat us it at the very least will build character and change how the players treat eachother.

    If we have to become a team full of 'bullies' that doesn't take crap from no one in order to play with heart then so be it. Bring the haters on.

    If Torts still coached the Rangers he would get a fine and maybe a few games...cause he coaches the Canucks. The book will be thrown at him. Maybe if we are lucky we will get him back in time for the playoffs.

    So DO it for Torts guys, Play for him even if he can't be there with you. Play for him and show the other teams you ain't going take it anymore. Goon it up Vancouver. Goon it up.

    Much rather a coach who shows emotion and plays over the 'edge' then some one who just sits there and chews gum and does nothing. Yeah Torts prob shouldn't have carried his 'anticts' off the ice and into the flames dressing room but you know what.. good for him for actually giving a darn about his players. TORTS I totally love you and the way you seem to genuinely care about this team and how you are teaching the boys what its like to play with heart. Personally I am sick of the way the canucks and us fans (by extension) are seen like pushovers and whiners. Time to show the world that we are tough and if it takes doing crap like this then fine, by all means, I applaud Torts and the canucks.

    Much rather be bullies then pansies any day so Goon it up Vancouver.

    The fact that the boys stood up for one another and for themselves and did not take crap from anyone today meant more then anything. Yes I wanted them to win but at the end of the day I can stand up and say I am proud to be a canucks fan.
