  1. Embarrassing for Petey there. If he thinks he is anything close to a player of Ovi’s caliber, he needs to watch that.
  2. Vancouver Canucks 3 @ Edmonton Oilers 5 – 2022-10-12 Recap – Cam Charron's Hockey Stats
  3. I am not sure why some people just can't get it, the team would have to spend around 15 million, just on Bo and JTM, leaving the Canucks in never-ending cap hell. Time to start dumping some of these players. If some of the fans want to keep the 10 million dollar Petterson, Now, The fantasy of signing JTM looks like a bust. Also, looks like any trade partner will be in the same boat on contract negotiations. His value continues to crash. They really painted themselves into a corner with Miller.
  4. The problem with keeping Miller is that even if you manage to resign him, Bo is gone because you are not going to have the cap to sign both. And the year after next you have to resign Canucks so-called the best player EP40 ( 8x9.5?) and Podz and even though by then Myers contract is up is not going to be enough to be able to keep them as well. Miller rightly wants a 7-8 year deal and he's only going to be viable as a 1st line player for 2 maybe 3 more years depending on injuries. This is why Miller will have to be moved, not that he's a horrible player, but because keeping him means that other forwards who are much younger and could end up much better than to make room for him to be on this roster.
  5. now Canucks is one of the deepest teams in the league on the wings. Boeser, Garland, Pearson, Podz, Hoggy, Kuzmenko will fill out our top three lines centered by Bo, JT, and Petey. That's a hell of a top 9. McDonaugh and Linus Karlsson are on the doorstep, with Klimovich and Lekkermakki two years away. WOW
  6. I'm wondering management tried to trade down but couldn't when the opportunity to draft Lekkerimaki came up, we have to wait and see how good Lekkerimaki will be
  7. Does it really matter who they draft or trade for? the team is still owned by the Aqulinis. You guys will drool who ever they draft and he will instantly become a future Canuck superstar in your little minds, leading to bubble year after bubble year after bubble year. is it a real entertainment to watching this team get pushed around year after year and watching you guys lose your minds?
  8. today: Andrew Gross (@AGrossNewsday) #Isles Lou Lamoriello on whether there were trade discussions with Vancouver. "Ask Vancouver."
  9. Every other team above the Canucks passed on this guy despite a top 10 ranking, The player I absolutely least wanted the Canucks to draft. He makes the team smaller, slower and easier to play against - the exact opposite of what the Canucks need. Basically Hunter Shinkaruk 2.0, think it's a mistake to not prioritize a D or C but they're the scouts and I'm not so I'll have to trust they know what they're doing. Glad to have the kid aboard and I hope he works out
  10. boudreau rumour …" I really don’t get how anyone can look at this team and say it’s close to anything. Sure if you get in poffs anything can happen, but I think it’d be a huge stretch to get in next year. Rutherford needs 2-3 years of some bold moves to get us out of this carnage leftover by Benning. I think it gets worse, or equally bad, on the ice from here on out for a bit. Miller - like the player (not so sure the person) but it would be nice to cash in on some assets for once. Losing guys like Tanev, Markstrom, Toffoli and many more before for nothing is getting tiresome. Realistically, we’re not doing anything with or without Miller next year beyond squeeking into playoffs … and I think even that is the high point of ceiling, maybe even pipe dream. I think it would take career years from many guys to do anything more, and they really didn’t show that trend last year. Sure they righted the ship, but that’s about it. Plus depth, we just don’t have it when injuries hit. It’s a shame we’re wasting more demko years … but is what it is. Watching the speed, quality and depth of teams in finals really hammered home for me how far away Nucks are."
  11. Dale Tallon steals the headlines but Scott Young is a very, very, very good hire and in a key role
  12. If the 4th line (Tampa) outplays the 4th line for the Avs...then I'm thinking that the Bolts have a good shot at winning the series. Guys like Maroon and Perry can be very very productive when on their game
  13. exactly, with this core you never win nothing, and also getting younger is good but its not guarantee anything, look at Tampa Bay, they have 8 players 31-33,4 players 34-37 and how fast they can play
  14. If VAN didn't have Demko they're a bottom 5 team. The core is so weak, After what we've seen in the playoffs the D is nowhere close to being playoff caliber. rebuild if you want to win the cup
